what you mean the baffle?;):p - it's safely installed... under the pillion seat:cool:

Quiff - it looks tiny in the pictures but in the flesh it actually balances the bike quite well visually, much nicer than the rocket launcher i removed:D

edit: and oh the noise... without the baffle i swear it's louder than a friends SV and she has a micron race can on hers:eek:

Sounds lovely mate! :)

I just cant get my head round the stubby cans, perhaps its just a marmite thing, out of interest how much was it?

i reckon it's definitely a marmite thing, some people love them but other hate them, same as the pointy curvey argument:D

if you did ever want one in titanium it could be yours for the kings ransom of £319.99:eek: - carbon is £300 and stainless is £216

Ouch!

What made you go with that over a CCC or FUEL can then mate?

Just the shape?

it was the look mostly, i really wanted some GP style exhausts just poking out of the fairing but they would have been crazy loud even compared to this, i didn't fancy one that stuck out further than the back of the bike simply for aesthetic reasons. i'd heard of carbon cans (the material not the company) having some issues with V-Twin engines and i didn't want stainless so i went for ti as it was only £20 more than carbon. when i did a bit more research most of the longer cans seemed to make the exhaust note more booming than barking, without wanting to repeat myself this sounds very aggressive when you give it the beans...

edit: and some of it definitely had to be the exclusivity factor, i'd yet to see an SV with one of these fitted this side of the atlantic, although my dealer had two other come in with my order so they must be popular:D

Perhaps your starting a new trend over here mate! :)

haha, this exhaust is mean...

this evening i had a big black SL55 AMG with dark windows pull out on me, nothing serious, just drop down the gears and let it boom and pop, next thing i know the guy pulls over and lets me through before carrying on his way, thank you sir:D

perhaps it was the black visor that topped it off...

also noteworthy, passed my first trafpol tonight too, just rumbling through town, no pull... i think i'm going to enjoy this.

i've also decided exactly what it sounds like "on bike" so to speak, when you fire up the revs and up the gears it sounds almost like the air is tearing, hard to describe but it's about as close as i can think so far:smt115

Whenever Quiff's Kim sees an exhaust like that she always thinks of "Her Dave".:p

sorry to re-surrect an old (well recent-ish) thread but that exhaust sounds so good I must have one!:-P I wondered whether you would mind making a youtube vid of it with a baffle in so us extremely law-abiding lot (prob just me) could hear it?!

Please please please??!!

You will always get the kudos for being the first to do the mod!

i'll see what i can do, i'm going to be silly busy this evening and tomorrow evening so not until the weekend, if there's nothing up here by monday give me a poke via a reply here and i'll get on it

tbh i haven't even tried it with the baffle in yet, it came out before i fitted the can and has lived in the pillion storage bin since. if you're really worried about the law i'd say be aware that as far as i can see there's no BS or E mark on the can itself, but also nothing like "not for road use" even though scorpion say it's road legal...

The can looks great. But what really caught my eye was the use of the paddock stand on the gravel, that must have been a nightmare! Very impressive.

haha - it's not that bad, the wheels just dig in and settle the bike nicely:)

you should also never try it with the steering lock which i have in the past. Best thing to do with the sport version even if you want the seat cowl on is to fit the grab rail. Saved me a few times.

Bit like love handles, they steady everything up!
