Hi all,

Greame and I are planning to have a ride out to Skegness way (from somewhere near Mansfield (J27)) on either the 11, 12, 19 August. Not sure which day yet. Depends on availability (and maybe weather forecast nearer the time).

I'll be straight with you, I'm not the fastest of riders around, only passed a few months ago, so the pace won't be too quick I don't think.

Just posting here incase anyone else wanted to tag along.

Cheers,
David

I can no longer make this anyway now. It was one of the few dates available for me to get a holiday with my girlfriend, so I'm afraid that took priority. My appologies.

If anyone does come down to Skeg, there's some traffic lights at Burgh-le-Marsh on the A158. Causes traffic to back up right through the village, probably about a mile or so on busy days. You can filter past most of it fairly easily but things get a bit narrow through the main part of the village, especially if there's a few trucks around. Or you can take the secret back roads to skeg that all the locals are using.

At least if you are riding to Skegness it will be warm when you get there:p

Millions of pounds worth of improvements were carried out when fire raged through Skegness on Thursday night

You'll be pleased to know that it's been raining ALL afternoon over hear, I got rather wet going to work :(

Did see a massive rideout go through to skeg though. A load of BMW GS thingies leading, all wearing high vis, followed by a load of big twins, TL's VTR's etc, followed by a load of harleys. Must have been at least 50 bikes in all! Also a nekkid blue curvy with them, any one off hear?
