To try and get this under way "properly" I've started a new thread. All photos for each month will come here, I will then "split" the thread at this point every month. However, we will generate a list of winners.
Few simple rules...
One entry per person per month
The winner of the competition will suggest the subject for the following month.
The winner cannot enter the following month, but they should provide a photo in the opening post to set the standard if they want to.
"Photoshoped" images: ALL images in the scene have to be your own work, putting a decent picture onto a background that you didn't take isn't exactly fair.
If you do photoshop the picture please mention it when you post it. Not that there is anything wrong with editing them, it just will allow people to make their on decisions about voting.Winners so far:
June '07 TC3
July '07 Blue Pete

August:
As Blue Pete is not around, Richie has substituted for him....
And your subject for this month is........
If this is okay with everybody then....
August photo comp subject is .....
"Good Feeling"
the sort of photo you look at and feel that certain, Arrrrr. such a good feeling of being on this planet.
(hopefully Bluepete will be back online soon)

Here is my entry. I had just hiked for miles along that little winding path you see in the distance, up to an old lookout tower on the West coast of Corsica. In my bag I had a hunk of bread, a hunk of corsican cheese, a corsican sausage and some fresh olives. Heaven! :)

sums up boating for me, boating made me feel alive. I miss being able to boat at that level now (to old and scared). We had just completed the Gyr / Gyronde including most of the 'graveyard' section at monumental levels and was feeling pretty chuffed with myself.
Cold Water, hot sunshine, hot boating and a ton of adrenaline, makes you feel alive!

It's on the Hairpin at Mallory yesterday. The photographer was standing on the inside of the hairpin which is about 2 - 3 feet above the track, so in effect he was pretty well shooting the shot from above. The key was to get the bike close enough to him but far enough away from the Hairpin wall so it wasn't in shot.
That was my favorite shot out of the day, the combination of action emotion, the linking of the Silver in the suit/helmet and the fading Orange to Blue in the Visor all connected really well. The best thing the photographer and I talked about the potential to get this shot before the session so it was sort of planned
All I did was the riding :D The photographer was the Focussed Events chappie

I took this pic of Jean Pierre Goy (Stunt man from all of the recent James Bond films) at Beaulieu Bikeworld 2004. It was great just to be in the sunshine with Grinch and friends, watching some bloody mad frenchman rag a bike about some tarmac!

No bikes in this, but it was our celebration drink for buying our house here in NZ. I think it coul have been about a month of us being here.
Thought it was a decent picture too.
Took this a couple of Sundays ago on a day trip over to North Uist and Berneray. The beaches there are utterly gobsmacking and really lifted us after a bad week at work all round. The three of us had the whole place to ourselves, and this one (a little NW of Sollas) runs for about a mile to the right of this shot and maybe two and a half to the left. Feel good factor? By the bucketload (spade optional, lol). I've promised myself i'm going back, and taking the bike.
It wasn't until i got home and loaded them off the camera that this jumped out at me as a Jack Vettriano wannabe. :D

Think i'd done 500 miles to get that picture!! Certainly wasnt so clean close up though. I use the 3 step meguires polish & wax system and it brings the bike up a treat. Use autosol for the shiny stuff :D

Jelster posted this on 23rd August, I think he's still away, give it a day or two and I'm sure it'll be sorted...
I'm back, work is pretty busy but I should be able to organise things on Tuesday or Wednesday evening.
Your patience is appreciated....
