just testing the water but i think she's gonna go:( me and the thou just dont seem to be getting on too well:( i like a flick-able bike i can throw around and the big sv seems like more of a tourer than a sports bike:(
would be looking for £3200 or may part x for a pointy sv650s in MINT condition with no known faults and the standard mods already sorted (can, tail tidy, crash bungs ect)
shes a k3 sv1000s on a 53 plate with 3800 miles on the clock, taxed til next year sometime mot has about 3 months remaining, i have a full HPI printout from when i got her last November and shes only coved about 1300 miles since then. i cant be 100% but i think this is the CLEANEST SV1000S YOU WILL FIND.

the fastest colour indeed! ive had a silver zx6r a silver tdm850 a silver firestorm a silver sv650s and have now got a silver sv1000 can you see a pattern emerging :D

Trouble is, we see that you are considering a part ex for a 650s and we think....ooh interesting......then we see the word "MINT" and we think......ahhh nuts, my bike isn't even close to "KwakMINT" (new term used to describe condition of a motorcycle) - our heads drop and we skulk sheepishly away into the shadows :)

i think the sv650s handles soundly my old 650s never gave me any troubles in that department, i dont really want to part x it because the dealers take the pi$$ with your part x and make a tidy packet on it selling it on, id rather someone on here have it and enjoy it and know they owned a kwakclean bike:) and to boot theres no running in period.:rolleyes:

it feels bigger, heavyer, slower to steer, drinks fuel (but all 1000 v twins do), lots more grunt and top end. if you do lots of fast straight miles then the thou is the bike to have but if you like your welsh lanes and and something you can flick from corner to corner quickly the 650 feels best to me.
a ss600 would suit my riding style down to a tee but i like the v twin engin and as far as bikes go there isnt that many with small v twin engines.
