Painted Lense Covers!

Haven't posted in a while, computers gone cupooop :( . But i've been busy with the old SV and decided to order some lense covers, but i wasn't happy at that so i painted them the same as the bike with some circles in to keep them legal. I wasn't too sure at first but now im chuffed with my latest addition :D , plus it hides the pads that hold them on. What do you guys think? Not for everyone i know, but hey wouldn't do for us all to be the same.

Yikes! No, don't like that, but it's a pretty cool idea. I reckon putting a border on 'em could look good, though, never even thought of that before.

Hi there, I think it is a cool idea, although I do not fancy the circles too much - but where did you get the lense covers from anyway, and how did you manage to get them sooo close to the original colour? I was thinking about giving the alien eyes of my curvy blue one a bit of a bad look by covering the lights a bit on top in the middle kind of thing... Do you know what I mean?

Hey Nadine i brought them from busters accessories for £17. At that price i wasn't too fussed if i made a mess of it. I wasn't to sure of the circles to begin with but they've grown on me. I'd be interested to see other peoples ideas. I brought my paint from paints4u.com,just enter your colour code when ordering to get your exact colour. I sprayed the lenses from the back to save the paint getting chipped. I know what you mean with your idea could look cool,go for it.

The more I look at them the more they grow on me... I kind of like them (wouldn't look right on my bike though)

I think you should try a border on them as northwind said, I think that would finish them up nicely IMO
