Bummer!
Looks like there's some rearsets on the way - not something i intended on spending money on.
And for those who like a bit more info ;)
I wasn't touching the brakes, the pegs did grind too. I'm completely stock suspension/ tyre-wise - those D220s have done over 8000 miles!
Didn't even reach the end of the tyre

Bummer mate, that happened to me but it didn't break off just bent it. Thats why i did my rearset mod. You should just get another break pedal, rearsets are alot of money, about £200 a pair.

£200! Bummer. The standard pegs are awful I always get my feet scraping on roundabouts as I can't keep my feet high enough! I don't want to spend £200 to find that I can't get comfortable being 6'2"! .....they would look nice in black though

man you were way over if you've touched the sv down, i thought they had good ground clearance.

For a standard street bike they've got very decent ground clearance, you can't go racing with it but then it's not a race bike. DOn't know how you can possibly describe it as appalling tbh...

It was a roundabout in all fairness. Just need to learn how to get my bloody knee down....I'd imagine I was over far enough! :)

I can hang off the bike, I can corner leant over...but putting the two together?! I find it's hard to keep the bike smooth- it can wobble alot if you're hanging too far off. It feels like I lose so much speed.

i use second gear with plenty of rev's on to keep the engine smooth as you go around. keep up a decent speed if you can and my problem until i cracked it was altho i was hanging off i wasnt hanging off far enuf:) when it first touched down it felt silly i was hanging off so far:)

and did you feel less ridiculous as you got used to it? I feel like i need a seatbelt the amount I was hanging off! I was doing the old 'kiss the mirror' thing today, and felt close sometimes but really needed a long long corner to get it right. Could do with some sliders too!

You're trying to get your knee-down WITHOUT sliders!?!?!

Well, only wanting a light graze. I've got that protective velcro on instead :)

Have you got a naked or S version. The naked's, I believe have lower pegs than the S.

At 6' 2" you should be able to get your knee down in a straight line, unless you're a mis-shapen oompa-loompa with stumpy legs.

K6 SV650S. I think that's proof the D220s are more than sufficient! However I've just ordered a set of pilot road 2s :) for £169!

i never managed knee down on the standard plastic tyres but on the sv1000 ive got the standard pilot road fitted and you can feel the difference, i got on cuz's sv650 with pilot's on and got the knee down on the first island.
you really could do with some sliders:)

it still feels silly now if your going too slow but the longer the bend and the faster you are going the more right it feels.

Just a thought, was your rear brake pedal adjusted so it was pointing down a lot more than standard? Your hero blobs / banking sensors look relativly unscathed so unless you hit a bump in the road I wouldn't have expected your brake pedal to snap off....

A tiny bit lower. But the pedal doesn't have much play in it! Pegs are worse than they look in that picture- although they also fold up of course.

My pegs are scraped too, only from the upper rubber side though by my size 43 :)

I've only scraped the pegs on my SV twice. Both times involved it sliding down the road riderless:mad:

im constantly grinding my feet, not quite teh pegs though. i dont like riding with my feet above the gear lever when in lower gears. i do ride with my feet pointing down, only comfortable position. both my boots and shoes are worn in the corners.
