I stalled the bike today, and went to fire it back up but ws greeted by a lethargic starter motor, sounded like a flat battery. I had been riding for 2 hours at this point, with the lights on at good speeds, so the battery should have been charging. Anyway, my dad bump started it for me and i rode back home (only 5 mins). Killed the engine, then thought i'll test and see if it'll fire up on the button. It did...

So why should this happen?

Are my lights drawing more current than the battery can be charged?

Or could it have been the heat?

You need to check your chargng circuit for the correct voltage.

My bike stalled on a roundabout after 1hrs ride, I couldnt start it the battery was flat as a pancake.

Diagnosis, knackered reg / rec...

It'd been playing up for weeks before this, most days it would start then now again the battery was flat..

Rite-o fizz, i'll check that. I figured this sort of thing is a common prob - i've sene it come up a fair bit
