I think I must be getting old and boring...I think I actually prefer the noise of my bike with the baffle in. It sounds...healthier! (still frickin loud!).
Nicer as in it turns to a loud mechanical bark at 7000rpm than a constant rumble.
Surely i'm not the only loser [-o<
I keep hearing SV's with loud cans and I dont think I could live with it, hence not having one (yet)

Oh you could trust me
EDIT: To be fair i did say earlier in another thread that 2mths CCC sounded sweet and much better than mine. And his has a baffle in.

once you hear the pops and burble on the over-run you'll want one, trust me:cool:

I think they can sound a bit too rough without the baffle. Although mines on the loudest/nastiest side of the aftermarket cans. I think being baffleless is 'something for the weekend sir?'
I like the subtle growl of my OEM can. I tend to equate the baffless with the boy racers in clios .....
:nomore: :smt056 I'll get my coat..

Boy Racer! Me?
I date back to when bikes sounded like bikes without aftermarket pipes on.:smt088
It should be the law that v-twins have loud pipes. :)

I forgot to put the baffle in my Z750 remus powecone before I left touring.
The can sounds awesome in the mountains, popping screaming etc. 3500 miles of motorways was aweful, could still hear the can very clearly over the wind noise which is very noisy as well. Really got very tiring.
Also with any loud can I get a bit embarrsed riding in quite villages etc, I know what people are thinking when you go past and I sort of agree with them as well, its a shame we cant have a loud switch.

black visor - hide your shame:cool:
or think of it like this; with the stock can they're more likely to jump out in front of you, if anything they should be thanking you for saving them from their own silly behaviour;)
well i'm convinced:p

With the baffle in it is alot quieter at low revs though. It's not until you crank up the volume grip that it shrieks :)

i leave my baffles in because it makes no diff to the sound in or out with my cans for some bizarre reason?

Maybe your just going deaf dude? :D
I've not removed the baffle from my Remus gp revolution yet. I like the sound of it with the baffle in. Not obnoxious, but a nice deep rumble and loud enough from a safety point of view. I'd agree that there is such a thing as too loud.

Thats why I think the 650 sounds better than the 1000, as it can be ear piercing!

cuz's 650 sounds better than my 1000 with his scorpion on.
Funny I also think that bikes which have been tarted up are not much different to tarted up cars. However few bikes are owned by young boys so i'd term them "Dad Racers".
Prefer mine minus the baffle. Plus it feels restricted if the baffle is in.

Or in Pete's case, ''Grandad Racers'':D

SV650 = relatively fast
Chavved up corsa = slower than a slow thing
it's the pretence of performance that separates the two...;)
