All it wants is to be loved! My old SV that I traded in to Seastar Superbikes has been moved on to another independant dealer to try and sell...

It was a great bike that I have many fond memories of - someone must want it!

See the bottom of this page...

Its quite incredible how long some dealers will hold onto one bike though!

I would if I had a couple of grand! But I havent :(

Incidentally I paid Richies Dad £2400 for it over 2 years ago and Seastars gave me £1600 trade in last June - they had it up for £2395 for a year after that!

I bet if they had stuck it up for £1800 a year ago it would have sold.More fool them for being greedy.
This is actually quite common, and is I think a reason why so many dealers go out of business. They lose cash flow by having money tied up in stock that doesn't move.

Exactly! As they are a Kawasaki main dealer it would have made sense to stick it out the front for £1795 and make a quick couple of hundred quid and be rid of it - as you say, more fool them...

£1600 was good trade in!!! They should have given you a grand for it and sold it for £1600!!!

Thats why I traded it in - I would have had all the hassle of selling it myself and I thought it was only worth 18-1900 tops...

Shame to see no one is enjoying it though :(

Seastar is local to me, and i can say your bike isn't the only one sat there for ages they have plenty of old stock.:)
They ask silly money for them hence why they can't get rid of them.;)

The one and only dealer in Newbury has his bikes seriously over priced too. 90% of the shop is filled with over priced 2nd hand bikes. Makes you wonder doesn't it.
