View Full Version : Fitting Clear Lenses
I have bought some clear lenses from Project-r and am going to have a stab at fitting them tonight, any advice on doing this would be much appreciated.
It is a K3 pointy.

Hmmm
The rear lights on a pointy are a sealed unit.
Would invest in some silicone sealant for when putting it back together to keep rain/moisture out.
Most of the clear light units I have seen were sold as units, not as a set of lenses.
Be VERY careful, I believe a new light unit isnt that cheap.

Nothing is ever as easy as it first seems..............
Might put this off until the weekend then.
I'm assuming you mean clear indicator lenses?
Just unscrew the old lenses, and take them off. Replace bulbs with orange ones, refit clear lenses.
2 minutes tops.
Oh then easy - not as diificult as I imagined?
LAW - nice bike BTW.

Sorry for that - I assumed replacement reat lights rather than indies.
Should be quick and simple
Yep, you'll only need a phillips screwdriver to remove the screw that holds the lens on.
You'll need orange bulbs if they didn't supply any with the lenses. Halfords sell them, they're the ones with opposite pins not the offset ones.
Thanks for the compliment, I want a SS600 now after a test ride on a GSXR600 at the weekend but I can't afford one.
PHEW - Soulkiss you scared the life out of me.
Job jobbed! less than 3 minutes!
Now for the tail tidy!

Replace bulbs with orange ones.
Talking of indicator bulbs, Law you need some brighter ones! Can barely see them when they're on!
