Had a bike a few years ago but had to sell for ex wife reasons but all sorted now, just bought a K6 SV650 sport on a 2007 plate for quite a reasonable price ( I hope). This is my first ever post on this forum and hopefully looking forward to meeting up with some of you on a rideout, I live near the Guildford area.

Yep, I'm with Hovis on this one. You should have got a YELLOW curvy.

I spent weeks researching what bike to get and most people said i should get the one i chose, also i have no clue what anyone means by curvy or pointy. Can you let me know what the problem is with my bike cos I will get my deposit back if its going to be that bad or hard to get on with.;) Please

Hello & Welcome!

There is a cheerful and mostly friendly rivalry between fans (owners) of the 99-02 bikes (smoother "curvy" styling) and those with the 03-07 (sharper "pointy" styling). Bikes are broadly the same anyway, but some people get very attached to a specific style / colour combo. Hovis is so attached to his bike he's bought another completely different motorbike and is selling his SV;)

Right bike Hovis.... wrong colour. BLACK is best!

Welcome!

Ahhhhhhhhhh Bless.

Nope, there's nothing wrong with your bike at all. My bike is yellow and curvy so any chance I get to shout it out, I do:p:p.

Curvy or pointy describes the shape of the bike.

I'm not technical at all, so I'm sure someone will put up some pictures for you.

Thats all. Promise.

And another big HELLO and WELCOME:smt006:smt006:smt006:smt006:smt006:smt006: smt006:smt006:smt006:smt006:smt006:smt006:smt006:s mt006:smt006:smt006:smt006:smt006:smt006:smt006:sm t006

and let me correct the poor mis-guided fools with talk of yellow and black. It is a well documented FACT that blue curveys are the best looking, best handling and fastest SV's ever made. They also have the best looking owners :---)

Oh no! Another newbie!!! Where do you al come from?!

Only joking. Welcome to the forum, we're all a freindly bunch. Even hovis (deserter) is right about the yellow curvy thing. But few people seem to agree what you really need is a topbox.

I think if you own a Yellow Curvy then you should really buy a topbox and start delivering Pizza for Dominos. :D
