Narr my dad was at 70.
but he sold his bike to Skip. He now rides a V-Strom 650, as it's better on his wrists...
So you might be the current oldest...

This fella, found on a curvey on the last catherine wheel. ohlins front and rear, needed a stick to walk accross the car park. Dunno how old he is, but he ain't no spring chicken!

Total respect due there. That's probably what I'll be like come the day. I apparently will have reverted by bike to near standard faired yellow trim, as it was the day i got her. Awwwww.....

BTW. What's the extra dial on his bike?

Look in the screen/tankbag area, you can see the wires out the back of it?

Well, it only has two obvious connections so I'm guessing it's a voltmeter - the two crimps are red so they're light and thus probably not up to ammeter current - maybe.

Apparently, it's a blood pressure monitor. If it gets too low, he thinks about getting a Pointy until it gets back up to normal....

Nah, it's an alarm which sounds to wake him up after thinking about pointies sends him to sleep!

It's an onboard defib machine that gives him a jolt when it senses he's fallen asleep or died of boredom. He's now bought a pointy and doesn't need it.

Just re-read it, there's a euphemism in there somewhere!

Surely it must be the ageing hooligan's boost gauge for his turbo?

So!
all I was interested in was, am I the oldest SV Rider, and what did
I get ! a picture of an old geezer on a girly machine half asleep
in a car park and a load of age related micky takes !
When I said 'rider' I'm talking about blasting down the bypass,
seeing of Honda 125's at the lights and out braking Harley-Davidsons on the
local S Bends !!
Remember ! I was fighting off Manx Nortons and AJS 7R's round the Crystal Palace Motor Circuit on a Velocette KTT, when the only wheels you lot had under you, were on your pram!

I just remember the expressions on people faces when we saw that old fella struggling across the car park with his walking stick......put on his helmet............swing his leg over the SV and reduce his telescopic stick to attach it to the bike.

If im still doing that at his age, then I'll be a happy man.

Yep, I was talking to lady at the cafe (behind the Till) a friend of his as he's local, she said he was 83... IIRC.

Alright grandads, tell us a story about the war!!

I'm 21, and am of the incorrect understanding that all older people ride BMW's. This is something I have learnt from my father, a young whippersnapper of 50-something years who enjoys tearing around the UK, france and holland on his GSXR750. Bloody asbo.

Great to see the old dude on a curvy yellow SV. Lot of power though, I think I would at least ride a lesser power blue curvy, if not a woefully slow pointy :p if I couldnt walk without the aid of my stick

But this guy is obviously a dab hand at riding bikes. I would like to think he even scrapes the footpegs
