Fingers crossed, I've hopefully done a deal on a nice 54 reg pointy SV with full lower fairings. Now, would someone mind doing me a quick favour. Could someone with lower fairings measure the ground clearance under the fairing panels and the wheelbase so I can check the ground clearance on my ramp into the garden.

Cheers

As long as you have upto about 10cm diffrence, its fine, that asuming its only a single level differnce and not a hump of 10cm, where the bike will probably ground out. Just go slow so the suspention has time to level the bike again or you will hit the lowers onto the hump and the same the otherway round.

No - it's a giant step - I have put ramps either side.

According to the spec my current bike and the SV have the same wheelbase, but the SV has 20mm more ground clearance as standard. What I was wondering was how much further the fairing hangs down than the exhaust.
