View Full Version : Identity of someone in an accident
There was a serious bike accident on the A53 at Shawbury, near Shrewsbury, last Friday. The report in the paper suggests a smidsy. It goes on to say that the rider, aged in his 50s, was seriously injured and was taken to Selly Oak hospital (not good news:() and that the bike involved was a red and black Aprilia travelling towards Shrewsbury. Well there aren't many Aprilias in Shrewsbury still less blokes who ride them in their 50s. I have a client who matches the description such as it is, he is in his 50s and yes he rides a red and black Aprilia - and he lives in Shrewsbury.
Is there any way of finding out who it was? I'd like at least to send a card. The hospital won't identify - will the police tell me? I'm not related and he isn't exactly a friend, so it's a bit distant.

you could phone the hospital and say "i was wondering if *client's name* is in a condition where i could come and visit" - if they say they can't find him then it's probably not him
GWS whoever it was...

Don't really want to call home number, I'm not sure what the home situation is, it mightn't be easy. I've called the paper, they're getting back to me.
Arenalife - I don't do personal injury work!

A man of principle! Too few of you about Ed;)
Hopefully whoever it is pulles through ok, be nice to think it wasn't your client but the description does seem a little specific. I'm afraid I've got no better ideas than those already listed....
