I think you know the sensible answer here don't you ;)

I am not quite sure what you are saying has happened ... have some of the 'buttons' lost their retaining clips and starting to slide out??!!? If so FFS, NO don't ride it!! :D

Ouch!!! How many buttons remain in place???

Is it a standard SV disc? I just can't see how they have come out as they are beveled over ... worrying ... out of interest, take a pic ...

They are a spring type washer, bent into a U shape, may look like they are in half but actualy pushing the bobin so it does not rattle about.

Ahhh ... yes, I misread/understood that as 'half in' not 'in half' ... :D

In that case yes perfectly normal ... take a pic though and post it up though leemole just to make sure we are all on the same page!!! ;)

I can't say if you should ride it like that, but I did for a week or so before I got the disc replaced under warrenty. Not really very helpful I realise, still if you are going to ride it be gentle!

If all "buttons" are present and correct, and in securely, and there happens to be a little movement between the carrier and the braking surface of the disc then it's ok to ride on for now. If any of the buttons which hold the 2 parts of the disc are missing or dammaged it is not ok.
