Had a very good birthday, spent the morning being prodded by the consultants in hospital, to receive the good news that my leg/knee is looking OK, and that I can have that damn frame removed at the end of next week

Hurrah - escape from the wonky knee gang perhaps :shock:

I would like to thank Professor Illizarov for inventing this technique (he started out in Russia in the 1950's using spare bicycle parts . . .), and also the inventors of paracetamol, neurofen, and Laphroaig whisky for helping me survive the blasted thing.
