Hi - I'm planning a trip around Norfolk this September, mostly to visit all the relatives and chill out and see the coast and collect shells and the like...but I just wondered, since you lot live around here, can you recommend some good places to ride to? (decent roads etc), ta

Ooh where to start!

Watton-Swaffham-Fakenham-East Dereham-Wymondham-Watton is a good ride for just over an hour (at speed)

Wymondham-Tasburgh-Hempnall-Bungay-Beccles-Southwold is another good one that will take you about an hour there and and hour back to Wymondham....

Where abouts are you staying?

Hi, drop me a line nearer the time and I'll try to join you, maybe show you some roads. What parts of Norfolk are you thinking off?

Any chance of getting the Soup Dragon to make me a batch of crean of majic mushroom?:smt110

Dito this one. One of my favourite routes.

Well, I'm still here...and so far have done the coast road from Kings Lynn all the way down to just below Yarmouth (in two days), have been from the Holt-Norwich road across thru Reepham, Bawdeswell and along some incredibly small B roads. Been from Mundford up to Fakenham, Fakenham to Holt, Yarmouth to Norwich, Holt to Cawston, and thousands of other twisty turny roads inbetween.

I popped a message onto an sv650 I saw at Hunstanton about the website!!! Blatant plug...and have been discovering the delights of castles, ruined priory's, walled estates and huge estate Halls and generally booting it around on a daily basis enjoying the dry and mild weather!

Glad to hear you are enjoying it - it might be flat but there are some great roads if you look in the right places ;)

It's also a complete myth that East Anglia is flat...I found some hill sections and some lovely twisties right along the whole coast road. Eaten loads of candy floss, experienced some of the lesser used roads too (lots of mud, gravel and grass growing thru the tarmac). Visited all my relatives, and generally enjoyed the beautiful autumn weather we've had for the past month.

Back in Southampton now though!
