View Full Version : Vrooom - Verrooom!!!
Is there a better sound in the morning than the throaty grunt of an SV underneath you as you weave through the traffic or pull away from the lights?
I have a normal can and the sound just makes me smile, I would like to hear a non-standard one.......
It almost makes getting up and coming to work worth while.

well, almost...I still prefer gettin up and going for a blast round the lanes, safe in the knowlage that ITS THE WEEKEND.
Get a race can mate, you'll love it even more - I've got a full Micron system with no baffle - never fails to put a smile on my face. Earplugs, Pah.

Yes, the same sound, but sampled from under the duvet whilst watching brekky tv in bed on a day off
Where to get one fitted though - it's on my list of mods to do as I have decided to keep the SV.

Come into Soho tonight and you will hear a variety of aftermarket exhausts.
From £120 Ebay jobs to full Micron Race systems.
If you want/need a guide, give me a shout

Mine was 340 quid... Had it 5 years now.

DIY with a Fuel can - only £135 direct from the very nice manufacturers ;)
Easy job; 25 mins with a hacksaw (or 5 with a grinder if you feel brave enough ) and 15 mins to fix the slip on can. Fuel have a superb customer service record - as many on the forum will attest to - and the resulting sound is magical :cool:
Just do it, you won't regret it :D

Fuel are great (ace sound), but they won't supply me with a new front plate to fix my can with. (they want me to send them the can so they can have labor costs)
Anyone got a spare oval fuel front end?
Chris
just looked at fuels site and the are really cheap compared to other manufacturers.
I'm still not sure on the fitting of it though although one of these cans will allows me to save some money and spend it on something else.

love the sound of my bike when i fire it up first thing...
its louder than my mates 98 blade with an akropovitch on it....he hate that....lol
I have Akra downpipes with a stumpy end can I made from bits found in a friends shed. It's not pretty but it sounds OK.
Is it too loud if it makes car drivers jump as you filter past them on the motorway?
