I've been invited to a fancy dress party where the theme is '80's Movies', and I'm a bit stumped what costume to choose - I'm one of those people that always turns up at the party & wishes I'd chosen a different costume when I see what everyone else has!

So far I have 3 ideas:

1) Top Gun - flight suit & a bunch of sew-on patches off ebay, plus dogtags and aviator glasses.

2) Rambo - see here (http://www.joke.co.uk/showPart_large.asp?part=22881) - looks bloody ridiculous

3) Something from Back To The Future, not quite sure what this could be though... :-k

Basically I need some .Org folk to compensate for my complete lack of imagination  Any other suggestions?

Can't you borrow that Starksy & Hutch car that's down the road from you?

And for god sakes, go as Hutch! 8)

(I know it's not strictly an eighties film, but what the hell!!!!!)

Or, other suggestions.

Beetlejuice. Not easy to replicate, i know.

Scarface. Blood soaked suit, nice big gun.

I reckon Indy Jones is a sure winner tho.

I'd love to hear the Gran Torino seller's reaction to me asking to borrow his car!

I've already been Beetlejuice at a Halloween party a couple of years ago - and you're right - it wasn't easy to replicate!

Scarface is another good idea, but I reckon Indy is looking like the one I'll go for, I've found a couple of costume hire places online with everything I'd need too

You could go as Sir Jimmy Saville (http://newworldruler.blogspot.com/search?q=fancy+dress) as I did once, just follow the link to see. Though having the shell suit does also leave the option to go as David 'I think I'm Jesus' Ike.

Just wear something nice and casual, and then pin a label on with the word GOD, on it.

Who's gonna argue with that!?
