I just received some mirror extenders from http://www.chewys-stuff.co.uk/ as recommended by someone on here when I said I couldn't see behind me. Spent 5 minutes putting them on this afternoon in the rain, and low and behold, I could see cars behind me again!
Not put them through a rigorous test yet, but they seem solidly built and do exactly what they are supposed to. Makes me feel much happier slowing down for turns being able to see that the car behind has actually noticed.

Highly recommended.

yer I have them fitted, better view than previously but only just enough if you know what I mean but still a massive improvement. I have had them on for about a year and they have been great, never had to do anything to them.

I've got a mate who has a Ducati 1098 with probably the worst mirrors know to man, but he protests that if you need your mirrors you're not riding fast enough :toss:

Maybe his attitude explains why he's written off a Thundercat, CBR600 and a MINT 1996 Ducati 748 with less than 10k on the clock

They are a "lump of stuff" that goes between fairing and mirror to effectively lengthen the shaft allowing better viewing angle.
Take a look at the piccies on the website.

Only if you can guarantee you are the fastest thing on the road and are never going to brake to turn anywhere. Or run out of fuel as you haven't slowed down to pull into a petrol station....
Number of cars that like to sit close to my rear is scary, especially when I am usually 5-10 mph over the limit to stop the majority doing that.

I had Chewy's mirror extenders on my old curvy and on my current pointy and think they're worth the money. I guess the difference they make is somewhat dependent on the height/width of the ride though.

cheers
