Hello,

After owning a honda jap cafe racer (got to drop the engine to get to the spark plug!) and gs500 (the worlds most reliable, but boring bike), I have finally upgraded to an sv curvy which should arrive tomorrow (everything crossed!) so just wanted top say hi, and if you see someone on a yellow one you don't recognise, with immaculate knee sliders (as i'm too wimpy to get my knee down!) and a LOT of front dive (at least until I get Hagons into it!) then thats me!

Hello!

Welcome! :)
I'm from the Leicester area myself (well... live out in the county, but work in the town centre, and g/f also lives near town centre!)
Will keep an eye out! :)

Thanks guys, nice to know I'm not alone! Got the new toy yesterday and it's currently sitting underneath my offices at work, looking forwards to getting an uninterrupted, twisty stretch of road to get used to it later!

Sure I'll catch you both about!

There right now.
do you work in the city centre?

Steve_God

I do... work in the Town Hall as it happens! (Can't get too much more centre really).
Very handy having the bike park right behind the building too! :D

I'll have to have a peek tomorow lunchtime.

Nooo... that's the other one. There's the one infront of FireBug/McDonalds on Horsefair Street, and then the one on Bowling Green Street (the road on the right as you continue down Horsefair Street), and I park mine along there.

As it happens, it won't be there at all over the next week as I'm off to Kos tonight on my hols! It should be there on Friday 31st when I'm back at work! I park it there most days :)

ahhh, I thought i saw an SV down there the other day.

Which way do you go into town? welford road?

fenris

I work in the town centre too, although you'll never see me parkex, as I have an underground parking space (not quite the batcave, but almost as damp, the city council!)

I don't reclall seeing an Sv down there before, I'm sure I would have remembered drooling a bit (until i got mine that is, it is FUN!)

Sounds like theres a few of us, in the centre too!

Yea, I work just off the london road, I'm on a black curvy, You can catch me darting up the welford road at about quarter to nine every morning.
Please do forgive my "I think I'm late" riding style if you do see me.

Depending if I'm coming from home or the g/fs, I come into town down either London road, or Hinckley road.

In that case I've spotted you I think! (I work for the council too and very occasionally use the car-park as a quick way from A to B-Block!) :D

Hello,

.

.

is it me you're looking for?
'Cause I wonder where you are
And I wonder what you do
Are you somewhere feeling lonely or is someone loving you?
Tell me how to win your heart
For I haven't got a clue
But let me start by saying ... I love you

I also work in Leicester, well the outskirts - Sunningdale Business Park.

Therefore you won't see much of me as it's A50 from the M1 and A46 south for one junction.

Blimey, I must read MIGTS more often. I too work in Leicester, well outskirts in Anstey just off the A46. Does anyone go to the Bike night on a tuesday at Six Hills? Was there tonight and saw quite a few SVs including a nice gsxr colours SV1000 with Twin Blue flames. It sounded reet nice.

If its nice next tuesday we could all meet there to say hello

I don't normally, as Bassetts Pole is my usual Tuesday haunt (slightly nearer to me) but if a few people are up for going I'll come along! :)

Hiya kid, I take it your bike is black? I was following you as you turned left near Leicester Uni? That's my route to work most days (well, when i don't take the scenic route via a twisty country lane or something!)

Looked quite clean and tidy, was that the £2200 bike that was in the Bike shop in oadby that you mentioned?

And as for almost clatter, mate, you'll never survive on the track if you think that a 2 metre gap at 5mph is close! Wait until you have a Gixxer hugging your hugger!

Wester
07-09-07, 10:18 AM
hehe, was just playing.
I heard you coming :P.
Yea, i work just round the corner from the uni.
take that route same time every morning.
The bike was 2500 from Spenders in kibworth, I've since added the R&G's and Hugger.
Next up is a nice loud fuel can i think.
Wish i could take a scenic route, The town run can be a nightmare.

fenris

That's a good price.

The noise is from the Quill exhaust, which, for a toally road legal can, is really quite nice! Scares the smeg out of the chap next door when I start her in the morning!

Work is only 2 1/2 miles from home, i take the scenic route via any village out of town some days, which basically means i go for a hoon around before the run into work, gets the day off to a flying start!

Mines a 99 V hence it was a lot cheapoer than that! but it is yellow and that's what counts (eh hovis!?)

Wouldn't mind some lowers for mine, but curvy pearl yellow fairings are getting quite rare nowadays!

you seen the fire today?
just been out on my lunch, looks pretty big.

Steve_God
07-09-07, 01:19 PM
Haven't seen it properly, but have seen loads of smoke going past our office window and stinking us out!
Have heard that it was coming from either Rackhams or the new Shires development?

fenris
07-09-07, 01:21 PM
Yes I've seen it, had to leave my damn lunch half finished to go out to it! Stupid job interfering with lunch!

Polystyrene blocks caught a spark, plenty of lovely dioxins and CO. sort of like riding along behind a Volvo!

Wester

Ah... so that black curvy was yours! :)

And I do... but where I live it's impossible to leave the village without it looking like I've been off-roading it!
But you're right... a good clean is well overdue! Hopefully will get chance on saturday :thumright:

Hello all,

I seem to be seeing sv's everywhere in Leicester, well my side of it anyway. Followed a blue y reg through Enderby last week, very nice clean and tidy looking and the bike wasn't bad either. Red curvy sv's came down my street in Barlestone last week but by the time I got up out of the garage it had gone. Yellow curvy in countesthorpe on Monday and Green curvey coming through Desford, Newbold Verdon and Barlestone most days.

Is this area the sv centre of the universe?

cheers,

Alan

They're VERY nice! :D Possibly the one thing I can single out as loving the most about my bike.

Alan... it would appear that a few live not far from you too ;)
