Oxford Humpback panniers, good condition, black to match any bike. Complete with all fittings and rain covers. Never been used by me, but have been used twice by previous owner.

got them for this summers touring and promptly binned the SV! Now have hard luggage on the Viffer, so these are no longer required.

£60 plus p&p or they go on Ebay.....

Any idea if they'll fit on an sv with a hamicad tail tidy?

Luckypants

No idea, they are the same fitting as the standard Oxford Sports panniers, just smaller and more tapered.

Anyone with a Hamicad care to comment?

I think they may be ok then if they are smaller.

Do I get to haggle or are you dead set on £60 plus p&p

Just read this.

Yes they will work with a tail-tidy - they velcro around the seat and rest on the side panels - there are straps to go under the bike, but I never use those.

Done thousands of miles with mine, both heavily and lightly loaded, with and without pillions.

Good kit really

Just dont trust the waterproof covers - pack everything in plastic bags - but this is common sense for ALL non-solid panniers, not just oxford ones.

Heres my SV loaded up with the Humpbach stuff - Tankbag, Tailpack and panniers

I'm willing to be reasonable about the postage. They are in A1 condition so £60 is a bargain. Check out soulkiss's photo, they fit the pointy really well.

It is a good price, £60 posted would be even better though :p oh and do you accept paypal?

Luckypants

I accept paypal, as long as you don't use a card to pay it. Then I get charged.

I think I use my bank account to pay it, although this may be linked to my switch card. Do you mean any card or a credit card?

I think we have decided they fit with a tail tidy.

I think credit card. Dunno really, just seem to get charged randomly by paypal and the use of a card is the common thread. Cannot be bothered to read all T&Cs.

Why not just use direct bank transfer

LP send him your branch sort code and your account number.

He can then set up an electronic transfer via online banking, which will take 3 days (or less if same bank as you)

Alternatively he can go into any branch of your bank and pay the money straight into your account and you have it immediately - it like him putting the cash directly into your wallet :)

I have used this for years, both to get money and to send money and never had a problem

Security wise, every time you write a cheque you give out the same info.

Northwind, is there any practial risk in doing cash transfers this way?

Read my reply :)

The one with the pretty picture in it.

The one that says Yes it does work in it.

:)

This post brought to you by the Soulkiss Dept of Sarcasm :)

Well I always think its a bit dodgy. Because you only need this info to set up a direct debit.

If they do fit with a tail tidy can you give me the exact item code as I have tried all the oxford panniers I have seen and none of them fit with the tail tidy because of where the indicators stick out

Worked with my Hamicad ones, tho you DID have to be careful and have the panniers perched up a bit - ie the velcro at its tightest.

I added another bracket to my tail-tidy and mounted my led indicators on either side of my number plate, mainly because I prefer them there :)

With some adjustment you should be fine.

I used to put all the velcro straps under the seat when carrying a pillion - I now do it right - middle one under, other two over and my wife says that she slips less thanks to the straps

For standard indies you WILL need to make sure they are hiked up I think.

TBH I never really tried them with the standards and the tailtidy as I did the indy mod at the same time as the tidy.
