i'll be breaking my SV in so a rideout would be awesome.
I'll be at Abergavenny at some point on saturday.
You could always go to the Lysley Arms biker night... Between Chippenham and Calne on the A4.
I could but it'll only take me 5 minutes to get there lol, just wondered if peeps were doing anything during the day
We should definitely do something maybe finish off at the Lysley.
My initial thoughts are (considering bank holiday traffic):
Fox's Diner, nice slection of roads
Moreton on Marsh and Fish Hill :)
Brizzle-Chepstow-Usk-Abergavenny-Llandovery
Additional ideas welcome.
Any of the above for me, however. Fish hill would be good again =D> as long as we can play on it for half hour or so :D
I'll be off line as of this afternoon so what ever you decide send me a text and i shall be there

A new road surface has been laid down down the chepstow-usk road about when I went there about two weeks ago. There was lots of gravel and I nearly went round a corner sideways WRC style, might be better to do the wye valley road to monmouth instead.

Yes I'm sure peeps will be.
So whats the plan, wheres everyone meeting etc?
For me nothing that requires me to wake up to early would be nice. As for route and meeting place, I'm easy, I also have no preference on either of these points...

I may be out and about, but not likely to stray accross the border..... passports out of date now :p
OK, meeting at Nam 11:00 Little Chef on the A350 next to the golf course.
Destination.... well we'll decide at the start. As the Usk road is loose gravel we can rule that one out.

Thanx guys, hope you all came home for tea and didn't stay out too late playing on Fish hill!
Don't use the pub "Inn on the Marsh" in Moreton, doesn't like bikers and will not serve hot drinks!!!!
And because Beenz was so well behaved, I can come out again;)
Just keep the hints of "easier as a rider than a pillion" hints coming.
Cheers again for your company
Leigh and Joy
Fish Hill was better the second time round - if I'd had the time a third attempt would have been good! I'm not sure how low I got but and no matter how I stretched I still couldn't get the knee down - must have been going too slow  :(
Good to meet you Baldyman, Joy, and to see SH again - I love that SV - though in all the excitment I didn't share intro's with the gixer 750 Cardiff geezer with the nicely shredded tyres - sorry bud  Beenz, you're a loon!
Joy - about the rider v pillion thing; its all down to how much you like bikes and whether you have an urge to ride I guess. Certainly once you've gone solo (with no bruises!) I doubt you will want to ride pillion again. Kamakazy had bikes years ago but it was a good ten years after our FZR600 before she bought Beenz's SV. A bit shakey to begin with but she hadn't had it a year before moving up to the gixxer thou - but then she just loved the idea of riding again. Her biggest problem is short legs and being able to reach the deck! If you have some desire or just a fancy to ride it's an almost cert you will love it when you get going. If you have no interest then its like anything else, then its difficult to muster up the effort. One thing for sure it is absolutely nothing like being pillion except you wear similar gear and are astride a bike.
Get a bike that you can reach the floor with some comfort and you will feel quite confident.
Hopefully Kamakazy will be fit for a ride out soon - perhaps it will be good for the two of you to meet so you can get a female response! Kaz doesn't like it when we blast off (although she doesn't hang about!!) and today was actually quite quick in a lot of places, generally its easier pace so if you thought today was ok it should be all :)'s !
I got back about 2.30pm the rest of the loons are still playing!!
Fish Hill - he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he;)

I think Beenz said it was the A44 but its between Moreton on Marsh and Eavesham - its a hill (ok you guessed that bit) with a series of esses one bend of which is very deceptive :D, single lane downhill and two lanes (bike lane and everything else lanes ;) up hill.
Don't know the geezer on the ZX6 though!

Sorry i couildn't make it guys, had fatherly duties to attend too!
Did make it out in the afternoon with a few of the ducati contingent from swinedown, took them to Fish Hill :D all in all a good day out until my mates monster fell over with a broken side stand which resulted in his mirror hitting my fairing and cracking it :(

Oooh, Fishy :D Sorry I missed out as that's my adopted local playground. Done that loads of times now and it never fails to scare me, and most times I mess it up and end up using two lanes to get out of trouble too. The second left on the way up the hill (going left to right on the map) is much sharper than it looks, every time I go in too hot, realise the bend gets tighter, sit the bike up to scrub more speed then lay it down too late - kinda apex too early then again too late all on the same corner.
