loosing power at high revs

noticed it the other day, going along hitting about 120 (on a provate runway ;)) high in the rev range, the bike started to "spit" and loose power, juddering slowly down to 90, and trying to rev it made no diffrerence, no power coming out just slowing down. kept riding and it seemed to stop. going to work today, slowing down from 70 into a 50 then into 30, while deceleration it started doing the same thing, juddereing, loosing power and no power at the throttle. im going to check it out when i get home but anyone have any ideas what it might be??

I may well be very wide of the mark but it might be worth you checking your fuel filter, it sounds like it might be a clogged up fuel filter.

ah yes, could well be, one of the things which would have completely passed my mind when i come around to doing it tongiht. thanks for that! thinking outside of the box!!
