Hi all, parked bike outside my grannies house yesterday, walking to the door and heard THAT noise for the 1st time, fortunately it only fell about 45 degrees, saved by her fence. Thought there was no damage until got it home and noticed a slight bulge on the fairing near the left mirror. So took of the mirror to try and see if the bulge would magically go away, and actually it did lol, then i noticed that a metal bar behind where the mirror was had bent. So i took of the other mirror to see if it was the same but it isnt, so inother words when i dropped the bike the bar must have bent, and now the holes where the mirror screws back into dont line up on the dropped side and the bar wont bend back to shape so i cant put on the mirror again that i took of.
Complete novice by the way, any ideas?

Sounds like it's just a matter of bending in back to where it should be...any luck someone more knowledgeable'll be along with the why & wherefore etc....

Just had another look and the metal bar thats bent looks to be perhaps part of the frame, tried moving it with pliers, not a chance. Perhaps a previous accident i didnt know about as surely that little drop couldnt have bent it about 1-2 inches, maybe im just panicking. Its only the the 3 inch part of metal bar that the mirror bolts into that is bent,
HELP!

You may have to take the side panel off the fairing to get decent access to bend it back to the correct position. This isn't too complicated, mainly a few screws and allen key headed bolts and suzuki clips.

Will give those a go, though the pliers were no use at all, didnt budge a mm.
Any ideas what that part is actually called and where it goes to?

Its a new leaf....

New bike, slowing down(more conservative), Autosol the bike, and giving knowledge

Yup it's the front frame, didn't think it's easy to bend back in to shape. £118 new (for a pointy one) And about £100 on ebay as that's what everyone damages so high demand, low supply.

AFAIK its the same sort of thing as the rear subframe, do you not have mole grips?

1st pic is the correct non damaged side, other one is the damaged pic. You can hopefully see the top of the bar is bent in towards the clocks about 1-2 inches
