Out on the 125 today doing A roads, B roads, filtering, stop start traffic. Altogether about 40 mile round trip. Reason for being pleased about this? Every time I go out and practice on the 125 I get better and closer to passing my test so I can get out on the SV. :smt045

Just thought I would share that with the rest of the SV crowd :smt042

Was going to do it in June but in the middle of the DAS I dropped the school bike on my leg and buggred the cruciate ligament in my knee. Only just getting back on the 125. Been back to school and been told to practice my U turns, figure of 8's and general slow speed manoevering, everything else (roadcraft, obs etc are fine)

Decided I am commuting on the 125 all this week - 50 mile round trip for 4 days should rack up some experience miles :D

Just had a crazy idea though; only just occurred to me that the SV is insured for me to ride on my provisional licence with an instructor present of course. Maybe I will get to ride it sooner rather than later! :smt077

Good on you Ace-T, lots of bods want to get straight out there on a more powerful machine without putting in the time on a tiddler, like most of us did in the years gone by when all of this, was just fields...

thats the spirit!
tho i'd ride the schools bike rather than risk my own;) if you stay off it it'll make you double determined to pass...wich i'm sure you alreay are, but its more incentive!:)

Right, DAS booked for 29th and 30th Sept, Test booked for the 4th Oct. 2 weeks holiday beginning of Sept which I think will be mostly spent on the 125 doing U turns!:D

You cant gripe about a 2 month recovery from cruciate ligament damage...sounds jammy to me

Well DAS at the weekend, blimey this has come around too quickly. However I will be able to show Instructor Bob :D that I can do U turns in very narrow roads (on my bike at least!) This is a major achievement for me. Test is a week today. Not confident of passing test but if I fail at least I will know what to expect next time.
