View Full Version : Dads MV, finally see's daylight...
As some know, my old mans into his bikes, his previous was a Benelli Tornado, someone hit him, knocked him off, broke his leg in 20 places. He bought his new toy, and while he's been unable to walk, has been buying and fitting lots of carbon fibre, new seats, fancy bits....
Not in the cleanest state, he's still yet to use the clay bar i bought him. He's just done about 700 miles on it, and already lost all the chicken strips (bar about 2mm  ). Fruitcake...
When he got it, no carbon at all...

I agree with Matt, We could do a tag team? 12 hrs each?
edit, I don't expect much payment, just fuel food and points paid for will do. bargain

I dunno, riding an MV for 12 hours straight? That'll do odd and unholy things to my posture :smt031
But, its a good idea...how about 6 hours, then change?
:D

Cracking Looking bike! I bet you hear Angelic Music when it gets wheeled out into the sunlight!!
ALSO, Your MX5 registration is showing on one pic.
Claybars are great aren't they? I've used a Zymol one on my car and the difference was amazing. Of course a proper wax afterwards is needed!
But anyways, Nice bike, bet it sounds lovely too!

motorcycle porn rite there!
Not let me ride it yet, but its his new toy so i'd best let him get used to it ha ha. I wanted to ride the Benelli till it went to bikers heaven. But, he may be buying another one, but an LE version (Radial brakes, better shoxs etc), so keeping fingers crossed for that one
Its heavier than I thought though, much heavier than the 1098 duke, heavier than my old SV, but definatly lighter than the bandit.
Pegs are too high for me too, trouble getting my toes to the gear lever, rear brake is fine though? Probably my feet

I love the F4, but since getting the opportunity to ride one I know I'll never own one, it's just too damned uncomfortable !
However, in my opinion, it's still the bestest looking bike ever, especially the new blue/silver scheme. If you get a chance to look at one close up, check out some of the detailing on things like the foot peg hangers etc, the work is fantastic. But that's why they cost around £14k I guess ;)

Someday you'll post something worth reading.... (actually, you probably won't)

Funny to see this post tonight, was drooling over one in West Coast (MV Dealership) in Irvine just 2 1/2 hours ago. Decided I'd need two, one to ride and one to display in my living room. Need your Dad's bank account first mind!!

Just read the UK magazine SUPERBIKE, think July/August edition , we get it a bit late over here in NZ. BUT, it had a review of the 1098s and the MV F4 ??
Both bikes got very good reviews. Think the overall winner though is the Ducati. Probably becuase it is BRAND NEW, and the MV has been around for a couple of years.
Both look absolutley horny though!

If your old man decides to sell let me know in plenty of time so I can get the house on the market ready to sell to get the funds! Aboslutely sextastic!
I've not ridden it yet tbh, but from sitting on it Vs a 1098, the 1098 is SO much smaller its untrue. TBH I thought the MV seemed quite bulky and heavy, need a ride to see if its lighter on the road.
It looks like it might be being sold already though. After all the accidents his had in his life, it seems that his body is starting to give up. It really hurts his shoulders due to the screen. Told him to go for a smaller screen to start with but he can't sell it with only 700 bloody miles on the clock. Give it to me i'll hack it into london every day  Already offered him a few grand and my unbearing love, it got me no-where. Currently he's looking at a Cafe_Racer Benelli. Very nice bikes also. Got the chance to ride one of the 1100cc Benellis the other day, so much torque, so much growl, but not amazingly quick top end of the revs. Still a stunning machine.
