View Full Version : Strange Grey Camera's on A2????

In the last week I have noticed some grey posts appearing on the A2 between the Sun in the Sands and Blackfen...................

This morning I noticed that these now appear to have some form of camera mounted to them.

Does anyone know what they are?

Could they be more average speed cameras?:pale:

Are they a row of cylindrical metal CCTV cameras?

Given that they're new and on the A2, they 're probably for the new Low Emission Zone.

Or they could be police ANPR cameras, or even TfL traffic enforcement cameras (for stopping on Red Routes, blocking yellow box junctions, driving in bus lanes, etc)

Yeah, this was covered in another thread, with various sightings of the cameras all over London. On the main roads mostly.

They are Low emissions cameras like the conjestion ones. Just carry on as normal. (Whatever that is :p)

So basically they are going to clock all vehicles number plates on entering the zone and if they are higher polluting vehicles they are going to charge them?

They are going to turn these cameras into Congestion charge cameras as soon as they go in further extending the zone!!!

With the phantom speed camera burner still at large driving "as normal" up that part of the A2 would mean flat-out before the Elthan bypass camera.

;)

Not that I speed or condone speeding in any way officer!
