picture the sceane, you just get home with your new "toy", its dark and you want to play with your toy, so you light some candles, put the video in to tape holby city....... rip open the packaging of your toy................ and it says

BATTERIES NOT INCLUDED

I'm always a bit disappointed, but being a geek, I have a drawer full of all manner of batteries, even bizzare watch batterry type ones, so I can usually get things going pretty quickly.
