Eh up,
Anyone got any idea where to get a nice futon from? I stayed at a hotel the other weekend and it was the comfiest bed I've ever been in. I'm looking for one that isnt too low at all really but the futon styleee?!

Just realised how gay this thread is but hey ho, I'll have a look at Ikea, trouble is I'm a lard ass so need a sturdy bed ;)

Are they built to last tho? My desk is from them and it looks good but the veneer is peeling away in places!

Buy one? Bloody hell, people *give* them away! My daughters, between them, must have got at least three now, for squat-diddly. Subscribe to your local Freecycle group on Yahoo and keep your eyes open, or even ask there if anyone has one to get rid of.

having used futons most of my adult life, you want to get one with a dense foam core. if you go cheap, it will squish down to nothing in a couple of months and be a useless cat bed. you need to make sure its good quality and has a very dense foam core so it will last.
and if you roll it up and jump up and down on it every few months, it will keep its shape and remain comfortable. (no not that kind of jumping up and down on bed)
