View Full Version : New addition to the Beenz household
I really miss my SV even though I love the Gixer that followed. The Gixer is a superb bike that handles really well, goes much faster than I'm capable of going on the road and has quality components. Unfortunately I'm pushing up the miles on runs where I cannot really appreaciate the bike, commuting to work over the 40 miles becomes frustrating although the bike is more than capable short darting through traffic is not what its for.
Rememdy, another bike to complememt the gixer.
OK, I apologise that she's not an SV, but I wanted something that would work well as a genuine all year round bike, comfortable, cheap to service and economical to run but also top fun to ride. Not fast (top end compared to the SV) but cracking fun in traffic and legal road speeds on the lanes. I couldn't get a deal on a naked SV but did get a cracking interest free deal on the new Yam MT-03. After 300 running in miles in two days an no chicken strips, she ticks all the boxes. Another 300 to go till first service on Friday. So far, loving it. :)

It looks nice in a weird kinda way but owuld be better if the pillion seat was colour matched to the tank!
I have heard good things about these - I am sure you will continue to enjoy it! :)
Get those bloody exhausts changed...dont like it when you creep up on me, at least i can hear the gixxer coming :D

Nice one. However if your going to be using that one and not the Gixer day to day it may start to feel lonely and unloved. I have a remedy for that, simply let me have it Monday to Friday (I promise to take good care of it) and you can have it back for the weekends...
Hah- nice one Beenz - good to see you back on a naked!
beenz me ol china.. what the hell have you done.. you used to have taste ;)
no only joking mate ;)
Mmmm, very very nice. Is it vibey? I ask cos I tried a KTM LC4 and the damn thing 'walked' across the tarmac.

It does vibe although I'd guess the engine is a lower state of tune than the LC4. It certainly won't break the driveway though or wander about if you leave it ticking over on the side stand.
On the move though it smooths out a lot. oodles of low down grunt although it's best spinning above 3 grand or too much gas will result in transmission snatch. Wonderfully nimble machine. Only 120 miles till Fridays first service.:D

Was great to let the gixer of the leash today in Wales though.
