Well it's worth a try, anyone up for it? Once again will wait till closer to the time to check the weather - not been on track this year yet because of it!

I'm booked now, me and my buddy, for the Inters. Seemed to be filling up so thoght I'd better get me thumb out. Fingers crossed for the weather now! Are you two both on SVs? Focused say some of their instructors have 'em too.

I'm on an SV1000SZ (GSXR colours) and my mate is bringing his black Milie on a trailer. Another mate is tagging along to take photo's and may be on his green ZXR750. See you Saturday.

Cool, which group are you in? I'll have me beaten up old pickup and my mate with his Volvo and trailer. his bike is easy to spot, plain white full fairing, inxepicably with a "19" on it.

Were booked into Novice because it's my first time. I did the Ron Haslam School in 2005 on a 600RR which was brill. My mates did Oulton a couple of months back but one binned his new Blade which cost him about £900 to sort out so he has ducked out of this one.

Cool, you want to start off slowly not head first! I dare say I'll get a whipping from many of the other inters but I find in the novices they aren't too quick in general, though anyone can open the throttle in a straight line, but their cornering lines can be quite unpredictable, so safe passing can be tough. Whenyou get to the point where you know what a racing line is (and some alternatives) and find you spend a lot of time trying to get past people, you're ready to move up. You'll probabyl never be the one who overtakes everyone in the entire group, as there are always people who should have moved up or who can't get into the inters so take what's going.

Were you there on Saturday or are you on the 29th? What a great day (apart from the guy with the R1 in the first session of the day). I only saw one other SV and that was a Black SK4 650.

I thought it was all going to get cancelled when the R1 exploded on the track. Looked like it was going to melt the surface it was that intense.

No, sorry. I was there on the 15th. Fantastic day. I'll post a link to the piccies later.

Didn't see the accident. Only the aftermath. On the last lap of the first session of the day, an R! (I think) high-sided coming down the hill at The Elbow. Tank must have split as it hit the deck and it went up big style. Was burning really bad and you couldn't even see the bike. Rider was in a bad way at the side of the track. Organisers told me later that he badly hurt his back but was moving his toes etc. Took them a long while to re-open the track.
