Is this a remake of Omega Man?

What?! Are there zombies in it?
That would suck.
Looks like there'll be ample opportunity for Smith's requisite line of "ohh Hell No!".
Might be good though, bit of a 28 days later feel to the plot.

can't see youtube at work.... what it is???
I Am Legend
me too:smt045
It's actually a remake of 'Last Man on Earth' - a Vincent Price movie from the 60's (possibly very early 70's, can't remember), which is more vampireish than zombiefied in it's nasty gribblies.

A new movie with Will Smith in it called I am a Legend.
I didn't see Razor anywhere in the trailer though  Will need to go and see the movie I guess to see him.

Not followed the buildup to the film, but is it not actually based on the book I Am Legend, and not all those other films at all?
Shh Northy, nobody reads books anymore

Neither do I, but they look nice all stacked up in the shelves.
Even better, stack them up and put shelves on them! Saves hunting for a couple of breeze blocks.

I'll tell you what I would do if I was the last man on earth.
I'd rag about on the bike and find out where this standing wave is.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=POzGaW-4n1I
And then I would boof the living poo out of it. I would be playing my music there on some huge assed ghetto blaster, ripping the sheet out of this thing, all day. Then I would peel out of the cag, and chow down on some sangadichs.
And then back to boofing.
That's what.
Boxing day here in the UK!
Sod going round to her Mother's!!

Oh.
I just realised this is the film that they were making outside my work, in Wash Sq park there.
They had the whole place cleared out, and sort of dusty looking, like there had been a few nuclear bombs flying about shortly previously.
It looked cool actually.
You mean there was no boofing? I'm disappointed.
philipMac
18-12-07, 09:16 PM
You'd be doing well to be boofing this...

Yeah.
Looking at the pic, I would be working on the left hand side there.
I dont live there though. We bought somewhere up the river, towards the GWB. Its very noisy round there, unless you are very wealthy.
When's the flick open in US-of-Eh?huh? Whats a flick open? Ohh, the film, em, dunno, I think its been open a week or two.

Quiet clearly everyone knows that cos his dog is in the picture!

One man and his dog apocalypse style?
Why do films open in the US first? I know it used to be because of the limited reels they have, but so many new films are digital now.

Movies open first in the U.S. quite simply because most top films stem from American studios and they have right on hand an avaricious movie going public. Normally gives an instant massive payback due to box office receipts over the first few weeks. Then they begin to distribute it around the world.

I thought films used to open earlier in the states cos back then they could prevent piracy a lot more (films used to open months and months earlier!). Nowadays they can't do that cos it's too easy to get a copy of some form and transmit it around the world, and I would guess that a lot of people, given the option, would choose to watch a crappy (or possibly not crappy) version rather than none at all? Whereas if the film was available in cinemas they may choose that instead?
watched this on Saturday nite, was pleasantly surprised. Like Will Smith, but he's done some dreary sentimental tosh in the past. this was good. i got emotional at one point!!
Blimey Lord D, talk about digging up an old post! AS for the film, i wasnt convinced

IMO it was a cracking film!
Not seen the alternative ending one. Only the one where he blows himself up at the end I think...

That got me, and the dog dying bit.
I think it was a good film, but didnt really live up to the masses of hype in my opinion.
