I was at my local play spot the other day and a guy was there testing a race bike, he had a photographer with him who kindly took some pictures of me .

They are the first pictures I have had of me on a bike, its weird seeing yourself.

I reckon the guy must have been a proffesional. Not sure if he was taking pictures of the race prepped bike for a magazine, he is probably good enough to be employeed by one.

Nice though

I just emailed the guy asking if he is likely to be up there again in the near future. I will post if he replys, I bet he would be more than willing to take photos of a few more people if they asked :D

Very nice indeed! Curious as to what the speed was? I used to be more daring back in the day. I corner low now and again but not like before I just don't seem to trust the road surfaces (diesel and the rest) Nice pic :smt023

I have now idea what the speed is to be honest didn’t fancy taking my eyes of the road , not that fast though in all fairness.

The road though is spot on and smooth etc, after seeing 4 bikes in a row coming off at Snetterton on Saturday because of a light dusting of oil around the track, it certainly makes you think.

Ed, Its the only decent photo he sent me, the rest arnt worth the 10 minute uploading time that it takes on works computer :(

Nice photo. Your throttle hand is very far along the handle though, must be gripping the bar end too??

Its just the way I move about, I feel more comfortable and in control for some reason. If I slightly grip the bar end, I'm less likely to significantly give/reduce throttle whilst cornering and potentially spitting myself off.....hope that made sense.

That certainly does make sense, but I was told off on my DAS for it. It obviously works well for you though, whatever suits your style!

I do that on bumpy surfaces at low speed, I find it keeps the engine smoother if you grip the bar end tight.

Can't see the photo but I think any knee down is seen as dangerous driving

Would help if you had one (what's the latest plans?)

Plans are afoot Stu. I am considering something extremely un-Ducati for my sins. Just waiting for the 2008 specs and accurate pics before deciding. The reason being that in reality the tweaks on the specifications are unlikely to matter a whole lot to me, but the aesthetics will.

Watch this space.......or another not too far away.;)

EDIT...I have just viewed the info I sought. The tech specs are not anything amazing, boost in BHP and 3 way engine mapping. I am not though overly taken by the new bodywork. I need to see some better one's or see an example of the bike in the flesh. As it stands the present 2007 model wins my affections. The new model is only released in March though and that might be a wait I dont wish to entertain.

great photo graeme but your not smiling at the camera. did he not shout cheese as you went by?

would love to be able to do that, but too scared to try and I have no knee sliders or even anywhere on leathers to stick them. might start by sellotaping some onto my boots :D
