I was putting some washing when I noticed this sat on the fence

I think its a dragonfly, It defo had two pairs of wings, but that was the only decent photo I managed to get of it.

That it is, nice pic. Is that at close range or was that the zoom? Don't know much about cameras just looks great!

toonyank - I've got a Nikon D40 SLR with a 200mm zoom lens so I got as close as I dared without disturbing it and then used them the zoom lens to that shot.

Wideboy - Nah its much bigger than a wasp, huge great big thing :cool:

I've seen some big dragonflies around maria's garden, and my brother has lots of dragonflies similar to that (and some blue ones) that live around his pond
