So whose coming? Who we gonna tease? What we gonna talk about? The poll is to indicate numbers, the thread is for general banter about the night and members antics.

Get posting!

yup, I'll be there ... and finally FINALLY ... hoping to actually turn up to a meet on MY SV!! I'm getting sick to death of tank-hugging motorway runs to/from work!

p.s. I'm too damn lazy to look for an A/B-road route LOL besides which, my commute already takes just over an hour, so don't fancy extending that by adding a scenic route.

If I had the SV I probably wouldn't mind ... but then I bow down to your commitment ... riding all the way from Northampton to the Wirral for a bike meet :notworthy:

But ya wanna try doing my commute on a naked bike ... it's not as much fun as on the SV.

I'm HOPING to have the SV back ... but this is a dealer who's so far taken exactly 2 MONTHS to carry out repairs, so I'm not holding my breath

Think the poll is a great idea, seeing who's there helps you decide whether its worth making the effort or not ....;) kidding, I'd love to make it but family committments this week

Nope, I'm out of the running for this one unfortunately.

I'll see you all in 2 weeks then, Bridge Inn again?

Hi i'm new here, Stewie told me in Idle Banter that some of you are meeting at the Tap this Wednesday.

Do you often meet at the Tap, or do you vary your meeting places all the time?

The reason I ask is that currently I have no insurance (it ran out last Saturday).
I could scrape together some money to get insured again for Wednesday, but i'd be a bit skint for a while after that.

If you meet at the Tap say, once a month etc then it'd be better for me to meet you guys at the next meet, money-wise I mean (does that make any sense?! lol).

Anyway, I'll try my best to get insured for Wednesday if you don't meet at the Tap often, i've confused myself now :(

Oh, what time do you guys plan on meeting, i'd imagine around 8pm?

Thank's in advance.

Bri

Hi Bri, looks like its ok for you i think its 6 weekly at the Tap mate...Meet starts at 7.30(well people turn up from then), may be passing up there myself to show Mike my new toy on the bike :D

Anyway yer, each meet is every 2 weeks and the destinations vary between 3, the Bridge(Llangollen N.Wales), the Tap and one other(not sure where that is lol). If i dont turn up they are a welcoming bunch mate and a good laugh.

cmon it was 151 miles mannnnn!

Hehe, only messin mate, was only a 5-ish mile trip for me.
Can understand why you turned back, I would of done the same, not much fun doing a 300 mile round trip soaking wet and in the dark.
The weather at the Tap was gorgeous though, not a cloud in the sky, very little wind and very mild.
It did start raining here around 9:30 - 10:00 so I recon you made a good choice

plowsie

Brian

Good turn out?
Yeah, if you class one SV as a good turn out :D
I didn't get there until 8pm-ish though, in total there were 3 bikes (including mine and about 10 people lol.

I can remember the Tap around 10-15 years ago it used to be jam-packed with bikes, people stunting, burnouts, doughnuts etc.. Tons of fun to be had.
Last time I was at the Tap (about 2 months ago on a Saturday) it was the same as tonight, just dead... I'm not sure why, maybe just the luck of the draw.
