View Full Version : What is this?
Hey all haven't been on here in awhile. Still riding and loving my SV650N over here in Northern California. There is another web site I belong to that has a Trivia thread, well a guy posted a picture of a rare hand built British Race bike and it hasn't been identified yet. I was hoping some of you might have a clue as to what it is. HELP!!! here is the picture, thanx.

That engine looks like a Gilera or possibly an MV agusta unit, but there was a British bike called a KRM (Or something like that). They built a DOHC four and tried it in the 350 class.Dont know if thats it.

not uncommon for racers to build one off's, it is a MV agusta engine though,
heres the 350cc 4 cylinder version

and here's the 6 cylinder one

you can plainly see the same build.
Cheers Mark.
First thing I thought was MV, But look at the clutch area, made me wonder???

it's a dry clutch, for heat disapation and easy change, not just a new Ducati thing you know, same engine though.

Someone figured it out. This is what they posted:
It’s a Marsh 4 cylinder from the early 1960s. Fred Marsh was quite a remarkable man and engineer who also made Britain’s only DOHC V8! This one was based on triumph Terrier Heads, Ariel telescopic forks and a Douglas Dragonfly frame!
