View Full Version : Colin McRae Helicopter crash.
It's not looking good at the moment for him.
Surely if he wasn't one of the people in the helicopter, he'd have shown up by now.
Very sad news if true.

RIP Colin McRae
Seen him many times when the British Rally was really a rally. The old Network Q RAC Days, when they visited Kielder Forest in the dark and then the Welsh stages.
Funnily enough, he was on Vroom Vroom on Sky the other week, they visited his estate in Scotland and showed you his garage. Couple of old rally cars in there, a 'few' off road bikes and a 916.
Sad news :(

For our Scottish friends this must come as a truly hard blow. They have in truth very few world class stars in sport therefore when one is lost it must really hurt bad.
RIP Colin and strength to those close to him.

To be honest i always thought he would go out in a blaze of glory during one of the rally stages.
He had a few big offs during his time that he walked away from and now its a bloody helicopter of all things that gets him.
And not just him but his kid too.
RIP peeps and sympathies to those they all left behind.
.... with kids aswell, this just gets worse, very sad news, heard nothing about it until now, shocked :(
Very sad, met him at Cheltenham about 8 years ago, all round good guy. Gutted.
Heart goes out to his family RIP.

Very sad, i could not beleive it when i heard this morning. He was a cracking guy, an exeptional sportsman - all the kindess of anyone you care to mention, but the grit and determination that was uniquly McRae. I saw him at a suzuki GSXR day at brands hatch a few years ago, he was tearing around in his WRC ford focus - what a sight to see him sideways round paddock hill bend! And he was blindinlgy quick on two wheels aswell.
Rest In Peace Colin, we are very fortunate to have witnessed you and your driving (and riding!).
