OK, it's come from MCN, but they stole it from a Spanish bike mag first, so it may be accurate ;)

Looks fairly similar to the current one, with a different front light setup, and a different exhaust. And slightly different tail section.

not sure, it may grow on me ....

Engine and chassis are meant to be the same as the current bikes.

Looks like they might be nicking the seat from your anniversary though Fizz ;)

First thing i would buy would be one of those Mircon slash cut GP exhaust, would be spot on then.

TBH i think these look better than the cylinders that came on the old Gixxers.

The real reason though is Euro 3...much much quieter and less emmisions than was required to homologate the K5.

Anyways..who keeps the exhaust for long.

I like the front fairing bit...it looks like it has ram air.

Translation from Spanish about the bike: from babelfish:mrgreen:

"
It is not necessary that you hope the Hall Paris to know how it will be new GSX-R 600. Here you have it, in primicia. The first images of new and spectacular GSX-R 600 speak of total aesthetic renovation. For want of concrete engineering datas, we assured that in Hamamatsu one has worked to make his supersport one more aggressive. Its image follows patterns GSX-R, although it separates clearly of the great GSX-R of a liter of piston displacement. The frontal, the fairing and the quiet one of escape (exhaust;)) are the three differentiating characteristics of the new GSX-R, as well as the areas that more variations have suffered. The fairing is totally new, although their forms of family are conserved, like the height of their transparent cupola. The lateral openings stay, colín now more is sharpened and incorporates a later pilot of new diodes LED. Its frontal is characterized by a new triple optics - something convex towards ahead -, with elipsoidal center and two multiconvex, of great size. Under the light two enormous entrances for the system of forced air admission are located, which indicates a clear preoccupation to obtain to a high number of Maxima power, that surely already will surpass 130 cv. The quiet one of escape returns to change and happens to be more voluminous and it is extended backwards, in search of the sufficient volume to lodge the catalyst and to obtain a low level of decibels. A return to the origins, but with rectangular forms. (More information in Single Present Moto number 1632)

The looks of the front seem to be stolen from the CBR, which were stolen from the R6, which has similarities with the 6R. BORING!

True, but its a bit like on the K7 thou where they've made the pipes from mild steel and I'm sure I've read the response as "because most people change the exhaust" well what if you can't afford to change it, then your stuck with something that looks like the b*stard son of a wheelie bin and metal dustbin merged together.

I know Euro 3 is to blame but you get a bike with all flowing lines and then what appears to be spare bits of Metal Micky or R2D2 bolted onto the side of it

I still prefer my K5

Even if it is in a chavy paint scheme :D

Yeah but you were lucky and got a Free Yoshi with yours.

IMHO if your spending £8k on a sportsbike then £350 for an exhaust should be affordable. If not then you have over spent!.

Anyways a little birdy tells me all may not be lost...expect some exhaust updates..add ons to go with the thou soon...although its not confirmed yet and may not still happen so dont blame me!

I think that holding out for the K8 might be a bad idea if that is the best they can do. A cut price K7 600 for £5999 might be the go for me then............

That's genius with the new thou- titanium headers, titanium end can, midpipe made out of what looks like well used scaffold pipe. Nopt quite as bad as the hospital bedpan under most new Monsters, though.

Its one of the reasons I bought that bike, I knew I'd be wanting to change the can anyway so buying what I did actually probably saved me money especially as I got a good deal on the bike.

I know what you mean pretty much most people change the exhaust anyway, but like Northwind says why make the last bit of hte exhaust out of what looks like scaffold pipe on the K7 1000, it just makes it look cheap and nasty and if you are on a budget and cant afford an extra 300 - 400 quid it makes the bit look sh*t IMHO.

I'll wait and see the new one in the flesh when its out before commenting too much.

The K7 thou was already anounced well before I bough the K6, like Fizz I got the Yoshi with it and had a cracking deal as well as it was the outgoing bike.

I'm not a big fan of the K7, I don't like the standard twin pipes but then I'm not a huge fan of the original single toblerone thing that was on my bike when I got it although it was all titanium. The stubby Yoshi looks much better than the standard broom IMHO.

Hmm I'd need a bigger pic but I think I might like that headlight! What is going on with the exhaust though...it's all weirdly-angled...

This might have the potential to make me buy it in March :D

I dont like the new colours they are using now. the blue looks too light and tacky. need to go back with a darker better looking blue imho. rest of it looks ok though. i allways laugh when i look at the generations of sportsbikes. they are getting less and less faring these days. soon it will just be a naked and everyone will be happy!
