Erm..... What colour means what?!

KnightRider
17-09-07, 05:12 PM
Red - not allowed out
Amber - your going out but she isnt happy about it
Green - allowed out
Silver - allowed out and allowed to frolic with the opposite sex
Gold - anything goes

Generally I seem to hover between red and amber. Green cards only arrive when she has plans to go out!

Do silver and gold really exist? Don't they constitute singledom?

Is this a ride regardless of the weather or will there be backing out at the first sight of a slightly grey cloud :?:

Not in my relationship, but I do have a friend who is allowed to...

Looks like I am allowed out on Sunday. I am not bothered about weather and am happy to ride in all conditions, but you guys will have to go easy on me as I will probably be riding the hire bike and not my SV.

But but... hire bike means you don't have to worry about ragging it. That's what they are for. Rev limiter every gear every time.

Hire bike arrives today at 5.30 so will update you then. Indeed I will be doing my best to kill it, but as I am still fairly new to biking myself it is probably best to get a feel for her first.

Weather looks good.. Only not going if it's actually wet in the morning :-)

Start time 10am at the Shire Horse...

Just got the hire bike and guess what...its a brand new SV650s K6 with 279 miles on the clock. Someone has blatently already run this thing raggid as it doesnt start up instantly like my bike, so I guess I will just have to give it a load of throttle this weekend!!!

Sounds more like it has been sat with no charge, hence low battery and not keen to start.

So more importantly, what colour is it and is it fully faired?

Would any of you have a problem with my Step dad joining us on his bandit? Not sure how we would meet up with him as he lives in Surrey but I thought I would check with you guys first. He is desperate to go for a long ride now he has recovered from the shooting!

Wokingham should be fine. I am wondering whether we should invite the Guildford guys as we could pick them up from Wokingham when we pick my dad up?

Can we name a time and location in Wokingham to meet? Anyone have any ideas?

Hello sausage factory. although my track record is pretty naff when it comes to ride outs, I am thinking of turning up for this one. trying to persuade me Warthog to come along too, although he is skint. 10:00 at the Shire horses then.

Yes I am considering it. I have the old dilemma of how to tell your gf you are going to ride to Brighton, when you have just told her you are too poor to drive to Birmingham.....

Also I have -£19 at the moment

Thats crap. Whenever I want to go on a ride or do something I just send my girlfriend to to Reading with my credit card :-dd.

you let your missiz loose with your card. you must be a brave (or incredibly rich) man.

Thats why I said "crap" at the beginning - cause he cant do it.

In reference to my stupidity on the credit card thing - money is not and never will be an issue between my gf and I. If going out and blowing a load of cash on clothes and face creams make her happy, then I am happy cause she is. I am not territorial about my cash and despite having earned more than her during our relationship (that may change next year when she earns her full dentist salary) we have always pooled our money.

Overall, she lets me buy what I want, I let her buy what she wants and we dont make each other feel guilty about it. The reality is that we are both careful with our cash, and as a result we trust each other not to abuse the cards.

Despite all this - it is still nice to be told by your other half to go out on a shopping spree!
