Hey guys. I've ran a few searches but couldn't find what I was looking for.

As you may or may not know, in aus the fully faired sv650s is not offered, only the bikini faired one. The bikini look has grown on me over time, and when I saw a curvy in the flesh I thought it was very hot. (I'm yet to sample a pointy in real life). So I was wondering whats the go on getting a fairing put on? And to Australia?

Would anyone know if Suzuki aus would import it for me from the uk, and mount it nicely? Or would I have to order it from ebay somewhere? If so, whats a good price to be paying, and how fiddly would it be to attach/any issues with them?

Alot of questions.. Thanks :D

hi phizog, firstly ebay is prob the place to look, if you buy a pointy remember that the sv1000s fairings will not fit the sv650s, the fairings are not hard to come by but the fixing kit that holds it all in place is, the fixing kit is only available with new fairings and for some reason suzuki don't sell it separately.

i sold a set on ebay for £177, so for a showroom set i'd say anything up to £200, from suzuki there about £350

If I end up getting an sv I might get a kind person to help me source one over there :D

in my opinion the Pointy with lowers looks ace, but the curvy looks pants, i trashed my bike and im looking for the fixing kit myself, thats really not going to happen so im scouring EBAY too..
im sure you could probably get your suzuki dealer to get some for you, shouldnt see why you couldnt? your closer to japan than we are lol, :p

It shocking that dealers dont sell fixing bits sperately considering how easy it is to drop a bike and potentially damage an individual fixing bit, or even just one side.

You should probably note that the fully faired option is currently only offered in the old K6 model and not the K7 in the UK. I had to buy the fairing and seat cowl as add on items when I bought my bike.

Oh I see, thanks for that.

Yes the lower fairings make it look very seksy. Not to mention that its very rare in aus, so I'll have something more or less unique.
