Anyone fancy putting one together? Not sure what happened to BBDs September rideout...

Dunno - my tax n MOT are due end of this month and I usually tuck Blue away in the garage... buuuuut...

... the 'summer' has started so late in the year that I may be keeping him on the road for a bit longer - all depends on the ol' finances.

Whip something up for the weekend perhaps...?

Ignore me...I'm just posting in threads...

Not quite as easy as that with the quite large distances between us all....

Plus I am saving my tyres for a trackday in a couple of weeks...

2mths mentioned a Northants rideout - there are at least two of you out there so I see no excuses... :P

I have a bit of a full weekend unfortunately - ex's parents 40th wedding anniversary (yes, we still get on so well that his parents still invite me to stuff ) most of Saturday...

... though my Sunday should be spent in quiet contemplation for starting my new career as a University student the following Monday, which will mean a strenuous session of lazing in bed, surfing the internet and messing about playing Baldur's Gate on the PC...

... it's probably actually be spent in a mad panicing cold sweat whilst trying to get all my leatherwork orders clear and delivered out so I can concentrate on the afforementioned lazing in bed on the following Monday! ;)

Last time it was my back...now it's my shoulder lol. Had an appointment with an osteopath today tho which seems to have helped a bit (6 weeks wait for physio on the NHS!) so hopefully I'll be back on 2 wheels sooner rather than later...hopefully on the sv too!

OK well don't hold your breath but maybe, howzabout, something on Sunday 30th Sept?
It'll either start end in the Essex part of the world.

Possibilities include start/finish Thurrock services; start/finish Hein Gerike Braintree. Perhaps take in Burnham, Finchingfield, Stradishall and SilverBall.
Or I'm open to suggestions
G'won stretch yourselves - 300 miles on a sunday is just playtime !

I'm not working so could probably be persuaded that a rideout is a good idea; HG at Braintree being all of 5 minutes from my house.

50 odd miles for me, doubt I'd make that in five minutes though, still give it a go ;), I'd be up for this, well as long as I fix the bike that is :smt104

Cheers Mark.

if you start at Hein Gericke then it is a possibility for me, I can't do 100 miles in one day let alone 300  ;) (my max is about 80) - but I would be able to manage local then peel off home before you set off toward further afield (wherever that may be!)

Oops.

I can't come.

Where shall I start? SV will be off the road before then. Deauville has no tax or MoT a punctured rear tyre and a bold front one. For the MoT I need a new exhaust, two new tyres and new handlebars.

Count me out. Your on your own after all. :smt119

You got us all the way round Ireland without getting us lost once. I'm sure you'll be able to navigate a little trip round Essex. :D

Hello everybody peeps. I haven't intentionally been ignoring the org of late, just well ended up hiding in my cave for a couple of months.

"Baldur's Gate on the PC" - Wow that's a blast from the past (unless there were later versions released that I'm ignorant of).

My geography is pretty rubbish and I haven't looked at a map but this 'feels' like its going to be stretching the East Anglia side of things a bit.

Not been out on the bike... well did two trips to London and before that Skips ride but really not a lot of late. Wonder if I'd need to put the stabilsers back on?

I'm terrible for commiting to things and I don't intend changing here. Still the possible existance of this ride has been noted and I'll see how things go.

Pah excuses, excuses!

Looks like fine and sunny for sunday so I suggest a 10 o'clock meet up at Hein Gericke Braintree. I can't do map link things but it's just off the A120 in between Chelmsford and Colchester. Maybe someone with map-linky skills could help me out here.

It wont be 300 miles, more like 100. Ofsted are demanding my time right now but I'll post up the route on saturday. It wont be a fast one cos I get nervous when I lead so good for all, even those with stabilizers!

OK Ofsted have gone.

Meet at HG (as above thanx Jdubya) at 10 for a 10.30 leave. Off to Stradishall, near Bury St Edmunds for a cuppa. Then back down to Finchingfield cos it's vey pretty. Then something else that I havn't worked out yet. That's much less than 100miles so far.

Start adding your names so I know who to expect.

Well, the BlueBlade has been well and truely tucked up for winter - but I am actually still biking all year this time round...

... only it's fizzing about on a 125. So if you don't mind keeping the pace down and making it a bit more over my neck of the woods I may actually proove my existence sometime! ;)
