try eCar insurance - you can go for Pay-As-You-Go and pay monthly, cancel anytime

probably costs more than an annual policy, however it's a lot easier on the wallet paying monthly

you'll never get a no claims bonus though as I think they only run them yearly (10 months minimum on an accelerator)
