I have big plans to powder coat the frame and swingarm, swap the front end and make everything black....
But seeing it in bits is a bit daunting...

Thats what I want to do over the winter with mine. The plastics are going in for a spray and I want to give the engine a good clean. It's a bit daunting though:?

i did the same aswell with my curvy over winter. all black but quite a few mods too. still have to do the forks and have plans to fit a fireblade swingarm and wheels to it soon.
:o You seem to have already created a much smaller bike from Dr Rich's box of unidentified bits.

The thought of putting that all back together again would scare the sh-t out of me, knowing me i would have bits left over :study:

There's time, that's usually after it's put back together :) at least that's when I get the box out.

I took lots of photos so hopefully the re-fit should go o.k. But with the typical Suzuki build quality there are loads of shagged fasteners. Didn't realise a blade swingarm would fit, that's got me thinking.....
Is that the new pointy in the corner btw ? ;):D

any thing can be fitted with a bit if persuasion, know how, and knowing the right people. im looking at the 95 ish year of blades, with the 6 spoke wheels. i would like the newer models with the formed swingarm but cant pick one up cheap enough.
ive got access to macinery at uni so machining spacer etc is not a problem. just measuring up for the shock and possible re-location of shock mounts is the bit which i need to think about.
could do with a spare frame to tinker with really.

No, seeing it all together is daunting, seeing it all in bits is liberating- it can't get any worse :D
