Hi all.

Having owned my 2000 W reg sv650 for nearly a month now, and loving it, i have decided to tidy it up abit. The previous owner dropped it on its left hand side so it will need the fairing lowers repainting. I also want to get the rear hugger colour matched. I have done a search on this but no results found. Its a bright yellow, its a 2000 W reg. I dont have the original manual/service book so cant get the code that way. Can anyone suggest where i can obtain the code or has anyone had their yellow sv painted and know the code. Many thanks.

here is a pic,

it looks like the liverly yellow, but a 2000 should be the darker custerdy yellow

that would explain it. my rear hugger is an aftermarket item and is a custardy type yellow, which i dont like, but the bike itself is a bright yellow, lemon kind of, which i like. want to colour match the hugger and tidy the fairing lowers. unless my bike is an early 2000 or late 1999?!

right........... the bike sounds & looks like it is the 2002 Pearl Lively Yellow Y9H

& the hugger is the 1999-2001 canyon yellow? Y9F

I will check

this is the 1999-2001

this ia what it says on the home page............. 2002 Suzuki year code: K2
Not aware of any major changes apart from the fork pre-load adjusters that we'd all been shouting for. Choice of colours extends to include silver. The yellow changed too.but i think it might be wrong,

comparing the two pics, mine looks like the Pearl Lively Yellow (Y9H) you mentioned.
checking under the tank, will it have the correct code then?

my hugger looks to be the same colour as your bike, the Canyon Yellow (Y9F).

my bike is stated as a K1 on the v5, maybe its a late model hence the confusion in colour?!

still trying to get to the bottom of this.

a 2000 bike should be darker yellow

not a fan of black, shows up dirt, marks etc. although, if thats your bike in your avatar, the gold wheels look good with the black paintwork. not as good as black wheels against yellow paintwork though;). whatever yellow mines painted that is!!

^^^ Bloomin' 'eck....

How lazy am i!! Well, got a seat cowl and undertray recently so have begun priming and wet flatting these. Lifted the tank up and my paint code is Y9H Pearl Lively Yellow. Just need to pay a visit to my local paint suppliers to get some paint mixed in areosol to finish of my new parts. Will post up pics when done.

Y9H Pearl Lively Yellow.
Silver wheels mean lemon yellow, but on a W plate I wouldn't be surprised if the tank and panels have been replaced as this colour wasn't released in time to be on a W reg!

Possible late registered bike??!! I have seen some sv's with black wheels. Are these later curvys then?

The dark wheels are early SV's where as the silver wheels are the later SV. Your bike is the later yellow on an early yellow W reg, not late registered, so I would say it has had a colour change in its history!

easiest place to look for paint code if you have it is the pink sticker on the front of the service history book.

Failing that as said lift up the fuel tank.

Could have been registered late on a W plate hence the mix up in colour. It happens with cars! Ahh well! If it has had a colour change no bother really, not keen on the early mustard dark yellow so happy days!

There is no pink sticker on the service book, so i did lift up tank and had a butchers.
