And yes its for my firestorm
dunno?
it seems alot of bhp for the money. but he has good feedback
is this a desperate attempt to keep up with boris?
looks like fuel injected bikes only?

Thats what i thought, Not that i need the power (as i can kick boris's ass any day) but its nice to have it
i'll kick your ass if your not careful;)

These things rarely work! You must have seen how many boy racers buy these?
They bolt on a "chip" that gives them 20hp, a "free flow filter" that gives them 10hp, and a "free flow exhaust" that gives them 15hp - and all of a sudden their 1.2 Corsa makes 120hp!
Not a good idea at all I'd say...!

How does it work?
It will modify any standard ECU by telling the ECU that the incoming air in the intake system is cold and so advances the ignition to compensate producing more power. In many cases fuel economy is increased too. Power is increased by up to 15BHP and torque is increased significantly.
It will be more responsive and you WILL LIKE IT
If the ignition is advanced, perhaps you will need to use super unleaded to avoid pinking? Make sure you do not knacker your motor.
Looks a bit too good to be true. But, at least you don't have to break the bank to find out that it doesn't do much after all.
Might have to get one to try it out.

But are right, and my age storm is not FI :(
i'd be a bit worried it would do more harm than good?

Good point, we could try it on your bike;)

not possible as i too have carbs & not this new F.I rubbish
You aint going to get a 15bhp from a re-map on a FI bike. Not possible at all.
Keep your £12.

(Derail) BTW Viper are you looking for any parts/extras for your bike?
My bruv-in-law in SA has a Firestorm, and ordered loads of stuff for it on UK ebay, for us to ship onto him. However now he's decided to emigrate to Oz and is selling the bike, so we've got all sorts of things hanging around at home (steering damper, panels, etc)

It's an odd explanation... Advancing the ignition is something clever engines do if there's no pinking/detting (or rather, they retard it if there is) but that's about octane compression and boost, not air temperature. Cold air is denser, which means you can run more fuel and therefore more boom, but that's not really connected to advance.
In either case, I'd bet entire pounds that your bike doesn't adjust its ignition timing for anything, never mind for air density. Some BMWs do now, maybe the latest supersports too, but not much else. Even injected bikes are still mostly what I call carb emulators, they're just doing the same job as carbs but (sometimes) better and cleaner, very few have started to take real advantage of the potential.

The chips work on turbo diesels really well. However they're still £200 for the same 15hp. This sounds like jibber jabber
