Looks like there could be a few of us as some of the boxhill.co.uk lot will be meeting us at Coral Reef.

On that video, are you allowed to stop traffic at the roundabout like that!?

Colby
01-10-07, 03:44 PM
If its the bit later on in the vid then yes as the police are with us. If its near the start then no.....

I'll be there whatever the weather. I live barely a mile from where it starts anyway :)
Been doing it the last two years, and there are LOTS of bikes that go!

And Nick 1- they do shut off the roundabouts etc untill all the bikes have gone through (which can take a fair amount of time).

Blimey, talk about advanced notice.

I shall sticky this thread as well. Nearer to the date I'll add a poll to get true numbers of attendees.

Ooh a rideout far enough in the future, i will be able to attend. I'm in, if for no other reason than to see Nick2 dressed as an elf.

I plan on bringing my bursting sack along, to satisfy all the children. :)

I don't beleive poor ol Pooh has one! Being a child's toy, the manufacturers in all their infinite wisdom decided it might be slightly disturbing...

I'm not sure about Santa, but you have to put some effort in :D

I'm planning on gathering a whole huddle of guys from my work to come along on the day.

I may also try and do a ride after, so long as it's not horrid.

The official start is Foster Wheeler in Reading, the meet in Coral reef is a few off here and a few others I think.. Colby knows more!

I live just down the road from Coral Reef so will meet with whoever there and ride down to Foster Wheeler. Not been before, do most people go in costume and decorate bikes?? :-)

A vast number of riders and pillions dress up-fairies, elfs etc.. (always seems to be loads of Santa's turn up:rolleyes:). And there are also quite a few decorated bikes- ranging from bits of tinsel to full on fairy lights, and bikes done up to look like reindeer :)

Colby

Nick is correct. Normal place is Foster Wheeler (used to be Shire Hall) but I am arranging for a few people to meet up at Coral Reef in Bracknell. This is cos the carpark at FW gets so busy that you just will not be able to find everyone if you just meet up there.

I say a few people.... but it could be quite a lot of people really.....could be fun....

Colby
21-11-07, 09:18 AM
And I will be wearing a Santa costume and will be putting tinsel on the bike. I also found some battery powered fairy lights at Tescos for 4 quid last night so they will be on the bike too....

Its supposed to be windy and rainy today..... looks gorgeous outside my window.....

Come on.... dont be wusses.... only a bit of rain and a bit of wind. You wont go more than 20 mph during the run....

This is the normal part of organising something within Thames Valley. All are up for it and the closer it gets, they drop out one by one.

I'll be there even in the wet... Unless it torrential!

Can meet other TV members at The Shire Horse first if you dont know how to get to Coral reef?

Wouldn't it be easier if you do that, to go staight to Foster Wheeler from Shire Horse? Rather than back across to Coral Reef, then down to Foster Wheeler.

Or if you meet somewhere close to junction 11- as thats only 5 mins away from Foster Wheeler?

Me.. I'll be there whatever the weather. As it's only 2mins from my house :)

Yeah, all depends if anybody wants to meet at the Shire. At the mo, it's a few maybes!

For those that have not been to the toy run before, if you dont get there early or arrive together you wont get together on the run itself. But its up to you lot where you want to meet.

You're coming, whatever the weather? Ok, where's the real Nick?

I think if you come out in the rain for charity, you might go back to being Nick9.

Hi guys. Just a quick note to say that if I'm going today, I'll go with some of my mates from more locally, so I won't be at Coral Reef. Maybe see you later.
