There was and i knew there was another celeb biker i'd seen recently but i couldn't remember who it was at the time, but tonite i saw the thread and happened to be watching 5th Gear when it came too me. It was a good episode, they filmed him at the start and he cut the white line and left the test centre on the wrong side of the road. Still passed though with 3 or 4 minors.

Left the test centre on the wrong side of the road.
I did that too, granted it was a narrow road, but still  lol

**Edit**

Still passed though with 3 or 4 minors.

I didn't, that cost me the test, less than 30 sec after leaving the test center, but I see he was probably still on the DVLA premises etc... I wasn't lol

Ok, not from Pheonix Nights, but ... Keith Lard (That Peter Kay Thing) ... "One spark and 'woof' it's gone ...", followed by a whisper and tittering from the back "Did he just bark?" (for the uninitiated, Keith Lard was accused of gross sexual practices with a canine) LMAO

EDIT: er indoors has this as her ringtone ... "Who's this? Who's Calling at this time? Pick it up or you'll never know!!"

Ok, I apologise for the slight derail coming up ... but ...

Went to the bottle bank the other day (recycling all our plastic) which happens to be located in a local sports centre car-park. Saturday morning, kids all coming off the field after Sat morning footy and what should be parked up at the very spot where about 200+ kids are leaving the field?

An ice-cream van!

Talk about spotting a business opportunity - you shoulda seen the queue!

Ok, back to Pheonix Nights (or Peter Kay) now ...

Brian Potter trapped on the stairlift ... Jerry (Dave Spikey) says to him "oooh what's that smell?" ... "Never you mind" :smt046

the scene where Jerry (Dave Spikey AKA tosser) is on the table, theatre gown and backside in the air awaiting a Colonoscopy. The doctor (A mate of spikeys and also drinks in tthe Royal Oak) says "Nurse, can you please clean that it is filthy, camera pans to Jerrys face which is a pearler. and then to the nurses arm as she cleans the screen of attached to the endosope.

Tosser, did a repeat of his ASDA scene in my local one. Crap. Sorry I don't generally find him funny. His idea of comedy is over use of the work f..k or f..king. Peter Kay though is a comedy genius.

I saw Dave Spikey live once as have a friend who worked with him in the NHS doing something or other so dragged me along. He wasn't particularly funny.

02-10-07, 01:12 PM
Ok, lumbering into the Dave Spikey debate ... no, I don't find him particularly funny either, and as for Bullseye ... what's that all about? ... it's just not the same without Jim Bowen ... it's like Countdown without Richard Whiteley :-s

Was "That Peter Kay Thing" part of the same series that had an episode with 'Senior Whippy' in it the ice cream man fighting over his patch againsed Peter Kay... I can't quite remember.

All I can remember is Peter Kay (i think) trashing his icecream van and (maybe Peter again) selling porn from his van, one of 'em was called "Shaving Private Ryan"....
And also a mad icecream van chase around an estate lol

If so that was very funny lol.

Think i'll see if Youtube has it :)

Brian

Lol found it, it's called "The Ice Cream Man Cometh".

That film would be "Shaving Ryan's Privates" btw ;-) not that I've seen it of course, but when you spend enough time playing "Picture or Porn" with Radio City you tend to get to know these things :-P Honestly Guv ;-)

The best one was Leonard De'Tompkinsion, standing outside bolton town hall preaching with a 9 foot cross! Also can't beat that Turkey George scene, shot just 1 minute up road from me! Oh and they do a Smackhead Special at bolton bus station as well, puddin chips and pea and cup of tea for £2.20!

Pete, you've got access to the internet, so I don't believe that one bit!
Or, maybe you 'are' telling the truth and have seen one of the many re-makes of that classic piece of footage ;)

Very surprised it's still there, must of been a good few years since that episode was filmed lol.
