Cant be pregant cos when you`re pregnant you don`t eat normal stuff... if you`d said you were eating brillo pads or scraping the soil from old potatoes and sucking it i`d say get down to asda for a clearblue lol

I`d go with either a tapeworm or in private would ask if you`ve recently had any contraceptive implants but thats private girly sort of stuff!

Nope. I can never understand comfort eating. When I'm down, I just can't face food at all.

I'm off to bed now and I'm taking a party size goody bag filled with all sorts of treats for my midnight feast. :smt045

you sound like you have the same problem as me melody. Half bullimic. You stuff your face but forget to chuck up afterwards. Maybe just bored. I find reading a book helps. If I watch tv I have to eat to give my brain something to do as TV is so crap. If I read a book i dont snack so much.

Get a dog,or get to know someone with a dog and take it for lots of walks. It will either distract you from eating,or will at least burn off the calories so it wont matter.:D

I've put on half a stone in the last month or two (on top of the half a stone I put on in the few months before that). I think it's comfort eating in my case but I don't ever seem to feel full, which means I keep eating more. That's not to say I don't eat to excess when I'm not down. I'm well known for being a bit of a pig and eating to the point of pain (and then if the nosh is good carrying on some more, though normally only deserts by then).

Last I time I checked I was 10 stone (65kg) and I don't think I'm putting any weight on at all...... after eating quite a bit though I have days where I only have time eat once, I have got into the habit of eating less and seems to stop me putting weight on. I really should buy some food though, I haven't got much left in the house I hate food shopping with a passion!

Though I got the muuchies when I was college I eat an entire weeks food in a night:smt103:smt103 got up the next day err wheres all the food gone? Opps

I think the secret is too, burn off as much as you put in, though doesn't always work though there are times i'm too tried or can't be arsed to train...

I kept my weight down by going to the gym to burn calories. But after 2 years I was really fed up of it. No benefit other than keeping weight down. Funnily enought the most recent and fastest weigth gain was after giving up on the gym. I've sort of been forced to start going again now. No dent in the weight but at least it's stopped going up.

Managing my eating is HARD. The easiest way for me is to just not have it in the cupboards. Job Done.

When i was at uni i used to eat 10 packets of crisps in an evening just to keep me awake while doing work.

I went from 11.5stone when canoeing proffesionally and at my peak i was 14.9 stone after i had to give up competitive canoeing. I'm now fluctuate between 13 and 13.5 stone.

I like my FLAVOURS mmmmmmm I love cooking different things which doesnt help either.

Same here but I'm a few steps ahead of you in that I've stopped going for the second time. Getting rather chubby now but far too lazy to do anything about it at the moment. Maybe next year.

Anyway, it's nearly teatime which means it's almost wine o'clock :D

I have found that if I keep feeling hungry I just drink a pint of water. After 10 minutes I'm not feeling hungry. Another thing I do is do pushups! Takes my mind off the food cravings. Drives my wife mad though as it means she has to step over or around me to get to the fridge!

the more exercise you do the less you want to eat i found.

if you fed up with the gym do some classes, circuit training, martial arts. in a group people will motivate one another (hopefully:rolleyes:). keep your mind busy and you will not need all that food.

True!
Another thing is to keep your brain occupied. I suppose it is like stopping smoking, the habit of doing something paired with the actual withdrawl issue is a hard one to beat, but keeping your mind occupied off the withdrawal seems to help. Keep busy.
You could just take up a new hobby. You got a PS3?

True I have abit of a Whisky problem! Wife won't let me drink more than two glasses!! LOL

BUT if I am busy at night I don't miss the booze. It's amazing how much better you feel in the morning too!!!
