sv650 unfaired swingarm

Hi all,

I want to have the swingarm on my bike painted black....Is it possible to d.i.y this? Has anyone done it? How much would getting it powder coated cost and is there a company that does this around the Gatwick area?

The downside with coating it is that you'll need to replace the bearings, whereas with paint you can just mask them (but do it really well, paint dust is no good for bearings). If it was me, I'd get it coated, but you could probably get good results with decent paint.

my local powder coaters do wheels for £40 and frames for £100 so i imagine a swing arm would be about 30-60£ ??

them bearings in the swingarm are a pain in the bum to get out aswell
